Jesse, I so wish I could make it up there for that. I love hearing Traxx play this stuff. Is this just a one time event?

ok, i almost fucked up. i fell asleep after work, then got into a silly argument and almost didnt go. lisa and travis met us @ lindseys. it took us forever to get ready. we wanted to get their before 11 cause it was free, and travis and lisa were not on guest list. we leave for dark room 1145, on the way there, lisas friend called and said there WAS A LINE DOWN THE BLOCK TO GET IN. then my friend victor called and said the same thing. lisa opted to go somewhere else for the night with her other 2 friends. we decided to stay cause victors friend got inside. line was long and it was cold outside. now im really sorry bout this jesse, but we only had 2 guest list passes and there were 6 of us @ this point. lindsey and i went to the door and said we were on the guest list. list wasnt good after 1130 but we didnt have to wait in line but had to pay. we were fine with paying but lied and said it was supposed to be me plus 2 and lindsey plus 2 and you probally made a mistake. im sorry we lied. but we wanted to get in :( he got us in a minute later all six of us. im actually glad like 4 or 5 of my friends cancelled on us or they saw the line and said fuck it and didnt want to wait. once in we could not even move. must have been over 200 people at this point and about 50-75 waiting outside. i never been to dark room before but victor goes a lot and said he has never seen it this busy. for people not in chicago, this place is located in a place where public transportation and cabs are scarce. so, so many people for this was pretty damn cool and very unexpected. we luckily found a booth and chilled. dj's were awesome. some sound problems but not a big deal. it was cool that so much joy division was played and i only wish there was less blending of new order tracks. but i understand it was a four hour night and you also had to play some electronic and odd manchester house? best part of the night, after last call and lights go on, people headed for the door as U2's live version of with or without you was played where bono sings a verse from LWTUA. as soon as this ended, they played LWTUA and people literally rushed back to the dance floor and it was packed once again. i was cutting across the dance floor to go to the bathroom when the rush started and was like "what the fuck is happening?". finally, it was over and jesse gave props to neworderonline and a bunch of other people and that was it. if this was a first in 3 parts, i can only suggest get there the fuck early when it first opens. most clubs in chicago are dead until about 1230 so we really were caught off guard on this and if you are not from chicago, come to the next one because this was a great experience and it can only get better. jesse, traxx and trancid, thanks for the tru order night and i cant wait till the next one!!!!!!!!!if you need advice on how to over promote the fuck out of an event call jesse. people i didnt even tell who dont go clubbing or visit nool knew about it and called to see if i was going. that was pretty damn impressive. it also helps jesse has been one of the premier dj's in chicago for the last 15 odd years and im sure that brought people to the event too, just his name on the bill was promoting this event.

ok, im tired as hell sorry this is so long and probally doesnt make sense. i have to read through it after i post i guess. almost 5am and need sleep. thanks again!!!

Thanks Kamar for all your help ... sorry I didn't get a chance to thanks you that night or meet you.

I'm soooo happy with the party... It was such a beautiful thing to be a part of. I'm also so very sorry for the craziness at the door ... we had a few issues with the club, door staff, etc. but I guess we couldn't gage just how busy it would be...

I will keep everyone posted on when the next one will be. This was the first in my "RELATED" series ... the next artist or group is the J.B.s (James Brown, etc.) and then BJORK... By that time we will be ready to do the next TRU ORDER party. (Some time after the new year)

A special thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a great night... Jesse De La Pena

P.S. The recording came out pretty good... going to figuer out a way to stream a section or two of the night... I want to share a little bit with everyone... just to give an idea of how the night was.

jesse, i dont think anyone expected that. we knew it would be busy, but a freaking line down the block was a damn surprise. funny thing is, i saw your email saturday about doors opening at 9pm. but we had a great time. thanks again.

maybe nic can put what you recorded in the audio section for a while??? i dunno. it would be cool to give it a listen again.
