When I was listening to some material from Monaco or Electronic, I noticed some songs actually re-used NO tunes.

Example: NO's Vicious circle (mike haas mix) has a bass riff in the end, which Hooky shamelessly reuses in one of the first Monaco's album songs

Another one: Free Will 12" (from Electronic's 'For You' CD2) has a synth tune directly ripped off a Republic track - which one? well, I don't remember.. maybe someone here knows.

Do you know other examples?

Free Will was originally written before Republic. Most of Monaco is shameless NO ripping off IMO

...you can find the bass riff of "vicious circles" in Monaco's "Sweet Lips".

...and Hooky plays the "Way Of Life" melody at the end of the "Under the Stars" track in the US-version of the first Monaco-album...

I don't think its fair to class Monaco as music anymore. It should be placed in a classifcation on its own... in between the old BBC Sound Effects records from the 70's and PortaSound for Beginners, Stage 1.
