Originally posted by craig burns I know it is now Oxegen, as stated, but it will always be Witnness to me (only one t by the way if we're going to be picky). This is very childish....

You seemed to be suggesting it was two different festivals though...

I like that thing about the flute, Steve... must remember it next time I see a 12th bonfire

I've got a friends called William born on the 12th of July. He's Catholic.....

Hmmm interesting debate. I've been out of the city at uni in scotland for last few years and got a bit more perspective on it now. I've never felt in any particular danger in Belfast as long as you don't go wandering off into dodgy areas on your own. In the centre of the city and particularly on the 'golden mile' I guess it can be advisable to not draw attention to yourself at closing time but no more so than in anyother city I've been out in-Glasgow's lot worse in my experience. It's certainly a lot worse down in provincial Northern Ireland (Newtownards) where friday night is fight night in the centre of town although on the flip side again during my time spent in Dundee I only say 2 scuffles-not bad for 4 years of looning around the city at all hours of the day. In short I don't think Belfast is anythgin to fear particularly-just take the precautions you would in any other strange city and you'll be fine barring some really bad luck.

Also...yay for Hooky coming in the enw year. missed the gig in dec cos I had no-one to go with. all new order loving friends have left for the mainland. Def gonna make the return gig though. And Shane Horan? Mr RAG? hehe oh you know me! Still got your copy of Powder somewhere.:ignore:
