Anyone purchasing a copy of this month's "Uncut" magazine might want to read the gig review of Iron and Wine (very pleasant Nick-Drakey type) who is currently touting an "extraordinary reinvention" (so it says here) of NO's 'Love Vigilantes' in his live set.

Beam has a taste for the illuminating cover version, like a faintly sinister reworking of Neil Young's Mr Soul and an out-of-nowhere version of New Order's Love Vigilantes. "Your freedom we will save with our rifles and grenades / And some help from God." Yup, I think we're getting the picture.

Surely it cannae come close to Love Seed Mama Jump's version? My all-time favourite neworder cover that
Seen Iron and Wine a few times and thought he was great. I'd really like to hear his version of Love Vigilantes. also he did a really beautiful cover of the Flaming Lips' Waiting for a Superman last time they played here.
