Warner, I'd guess

Warning - you may get Hooky, or Barney, or both, but it'll be damn hard to convice the entire band as a unit to play a nightclub these days. They're too old to be clubbing...

Hell you'd have to offer a huge wad of money for the band to come to the states at such a time.

You need to contact Tom Atencio who's been New Order's north american manager for about the last 15 years (to the best of my knowledge). I think he makes businnes under the moniker "Atencio & Associates" or something like that, and last time I knew, he was based in Los Angeles.

Of course, contacting the people at Warner in L.A. would be another way to do it or, even better, try to contact directly Rebecca Boulton from Prime Management in Manchester (or are they in London?).

Oh yes, one last thing: New Order do not usually play "clubs", unless yours is huge, which I somewhat doubt (no offense).

Good luck.

Edit: after a quick search, I managed to find his e-mail address back. Not sure if it,s still valid, though. IF IT IS, MAKE GOOD USE OF THIS. Here it is: noregret1@aol.com

By the way, out of curiosity, by searching for a website, I managed to stumble across this information:

(from http://launch.yahoo.com/read/news/12039348 «(1/12/98) - Long-time No Doubt manager Tom Atencio was "rewarded" last week for sticking with the group through the lean times and their rise to multi-platinum status. In a statement, the group said Atencio and No Doubt have amicably parted ways. Atencio guided the band during the period in which their Tragic Kingdom album sold 14 million units. The band will continue with Interscope Records, which won the right to continuing releasing its albums as part of a settlement with No Doubt's former home, Trauma Records. »

So here's maybe how the connection between Gwen Stefani and New Order was made, later on. It would be interesting to ask Mr. Atencio himself. :thumb:

And once again, in the "facts for fun" department, I found that Tom Atencio was the mean who took charge of the band Men Without Hats back in the 80's.

Now, beside the obvious synthpop connection, what does this have to do with New Order? Well, Men Without Hats is a band originating from Montreal, where NewOrderOnline was made, etc...

Six degrees of separation.

And it is me that has time to waste... :skeptic:

P/S: If you need Prime Management's address, email me, I'll send it to you, I guess it's the place to contact.. I don't have a phone number though, but I'm about to ask Rebecca where I should forward requests like these as I receive many each year.

Mr. Atencio is a saint. I spoke to him in 1993 (I worked at an independent record store at the time) and he sent me 2 box seat tickets to New Order's show at the Hollywood Bowl.

Do you still have that scan of the ticket Digital Mike?

If you have it, that scan should be added to our Concerts database. That database should constantly be improving.

I scanned 6 tickets and e-mailed them to Digital Mike for a project he was working on. I think I also e-mailed them to Nic but he's a little paranoid and probably didn't open the attachments to view them.

It didn't work. The e-mail bounced back to me because you have "no storage space".

Oops.

What address did you send them to? If it's sebastien@neworderonline.com, it's easily understandable because I have not used that address in more than a year because I got tired with all the junk mail I was receiving (about 15 spam mails each day, half of them containing viruses).

Please send them to webmaster@neworderonline.com and Spotnick will be adding them himself eventually.

Thanks. :thumb:
