Was it only available on Retro ?
Never heard of it before today and I consider myself a pretty big fan.

Dude, you should check on the 2002 release of 'World In Motion' which is backed with 'Such A Good Thing', because it's a soccer theme song again. :p
Though I'd personally prefer that they would have released it as a A-side track, backed with 'WiM' or whatever they had in the vaults. :) That is why the song lost alot of airplay nad didn't get any publicity.
I believe it was written at the request of Radio 5 (UK), who needed a "theme" for their coverage of the 2002 World Cup. On the few occasions that I listened during that time, I never heard it used...
As previously stated, you can get it on the WIM re-release single or the Retro bonus disc.
It was indeed for the football coverage on Radio5 in the UK. The station did use it,but it was edited to exclude any lyrics. The cd single mentioned actually carries a sticker for Radio5.

Don't know about the lyrics, but I gave SAGT a few listens today and the music is great... Hooky's bass is excellent on that track...

Off topic, but did anyone else find Behind Closed Doors to be the best thing to come out of the Get Ready sessions? I'm talking the album, b-sides, etc. It was my favorite. Classic New Order, GREAT purcussion, cool lyrics, and the way the bass chimes in mid-way through the song... I was really, really hoping that Arthur Baker would produce the entire WFTSC album. Oh well. I guess they've gone hip-hop and worked with all the super producers track by track. Let's hope it's cohesive.
Now if someone would just email me Krafty...

Just a shame they didn't release it as a single... so that they could leave Krafty rest in peace in the middle of WFSC... and take another single off ;)

I don't agree with that though... all the vocals beside the chorus (and I don't mean lyrics) are not really vocals, and it's a little crappy because of that... those on Krafty are much better.
But musically, Such A Good Thing is quite a good New Order track... it's not the sole track like that... Someone Like You is a REALLY good song musically, remove the cheesy chorus and it's great!
When I first heard Such A Good Thing, I was expecting a Here To Stay track and immediatly thought "Damn this is waaay too cheerful". But now, I think it's a very solid track.
Its definitly pop & possibly a bit twee, but its a better track than Krafty with IMO better lyrics.
