Personally, I can't see the similarity between Steve and Sulu.

The resemblance is uncanny, in my opinion.

Rather trivial I know, but it looks as if Barney is wearing the identical outfit on your pic as the one on mine (previous page) when he was djing a couple of years ago!
Hi Ness!
I had the same thought myself...all in Levis denim with a blue shirt?
i have some other pics too, but they are TRULY awful!
where did you experience Mr Sumner?
Cheers

It was at the 'Return to New York' night at the Great Eastern Hotel in London in Feb 03, both Hooky and Barney were djing - got to see them in the restaurant next door also which was a bonus!
Rest of the pics and in the galleries on this site if you are interested!

He bought the same again, but two sizes larger, making believe he hasn't bellied out. A hopeless trick. ![]()

*You must be joking... New Order aren't Blue or any other fookin boy band, they are post punk heroes and they can look how they like. I've always loved the fact they never conformed to any fashion standard (I mean they weren't like The Cure who falled into the Goth look...) This has inspired my way of dressing too, I don't need to dress weird to be a punk, this is the lesson... the Pixies too... they dress so ordinary, and yet they still seriously kick ass and piss over any wannabe punk or metal band... Just look at the Rolling Stones, they're 60something zombies by now, but they still rock...

Thats why I always like New Order... they avoided the poser B.S. of the pop scene and of their contempories like Robert Smith, Depeche Mode, Peter Murphy...
I just mean if you are a public figure, expect to be ridiculed if you let yourself go.
The Rolling Stones appear to work out cause they know it helps their image. Aerosmith works out also and can sell their image, even thou they are years away from even pretending to be a vital band. I'm sure magazine editors are considering on how much coverage to give to New Order in the next few months, and the fact that the guys are getting really hard to photograph respectably is a weighing factor unfortunately

*Yeah, actually I see your point now...

*Well, Don't Wanna Miss A Thing was a great song and had massive success...

*Unfiortunately I think you're right, but I still hope their legendary status will balance their loss of decent image... as I said, Keith Richards is a zombie by now, but he's every two months on the cover of Uncut, and even the NME, otherwise so oriented to the hip trendy young scene, seems to still respect New Order, while other contemporaries have already lost their respect from a long time...
I reckon Barney is a secret professional snooker player, 'cause he is the double of John Higgins (tune into the UK final today and you'll see what I'm on about!) PS. Sorry I don't have a photo of Mr Higgins for you to make the comparison):D
