Actually, before the album is out officially, we have some spare time, so why not do a track by track review of the other albums as well? If this one works, I'll do the others.. I can't start with Movement without relistening to it, because it's the album I don't know most of the tracks (sorry!).
So we'll start with the most nominated one, Technique.
Fine Time
IMHO, this is probably the weakest track on this album, probably because I don't like acid music that much, but I must admit this is probably the last time New Order experimented with something, because it's totally different from anything else they have ever done.

All The Way
Nice cute little tune. The kind of song nobody can dislike. Very nice music, magic chorus... why Bernard can come up with this type of lyrics anymore?

Love Less
The "other" nice little tune on the album, impossible to hate this song as well, nice lyrics, nice music.

Round & Round
This one is a gem for the ears, need to listen to this with a lot of speakers to fully enjoy. I believe this is probably New Order's best pop tune.

Guilty Partner
Not my favorite, I find that it lacks a real melody... not a bad tune but it's, with Fine Time, the weakest on the album.

Run
How biased can I be? This is my favorite New Order song, so it's impossible to give it less than a perfect 10. It's a shame this beauty of a song will always be associated with the John Denver case. The instrumental ending is probably the best ever in a New Order song, for me, this even tops the Perfect Kiss ending... too bad it's not long enough.

Mr Disco
How many people hated this title back then? I'm sorry, but the synth line in this song is marvellous... the bells also do it for me...too bad Hooky's bass isn't "New Order" style on this one (in fact, can you hear it?), but you can't have everything. I love it.

Vanishing Point
One of the fan's best song. Clearly should have been a single, can't understand why it never happened. Again, great lyrics, great melody and music... what can you ask? the only thing I have to say about it, is that I prefer the music on the Making Out mix, I feel the Razormaid mix which mix the original + making out mix is probably the best version of the song...

Dream Attack
Great one! If it's indeed Gillian's love child, this is one of the good one. The chorus could have been better, but the music is great.

Overall: IMHO New Order's finest moment. When you listen to this album, you just can't understand what happened with the lyrics after this album... I don't know what they drank in Ibiza, but they should do it again sometime ;)
Saville's finest sleeve too, so it makes this album probably one of most enjoyable. Its only problem is that it doesn't have a stand-out track which resulted in poor single sales, or airplay, so the album is not New Order's best commercial succes. But do we really care about this?
This album didn't produce the best B-Sides with Don't Do It, Best & Marsh and The Happy One, but they are fine instrumental songs.
