Do we really need a billion sticky threads on this forum? Half of them are futile... unstick them please!!! It's very annoying.

Besides, remove my name as moderator, as I cannot unstick or edit or delete anything anyway since the new forum system has been installed.

That's why the old forum system is still there !

Although all 3 functions you state works, they just work differently, but I'd rather talk about that on the moderator's board.

I'm in agreement with Sebsy here, we do seem a bit OTT on stickies at the mo', especially when you consider that two of them are rollcalls for US and English gigs (closest gig of which is over 2 months away, and then just a general list of where they're maybe playing).

Must be a compromise somewhere?!

Do you know the difference between futile and futon? :evil4:

Yes! The latter gets uncomfortable only after a while. :D

Yeah, I wanted to remove a few, but then again I felt the festival ones were keepers, so either I put all of them in the one Tim created, or I do a specific forum for that until the "tour" is over.

That's a good idea! Just create a new "Gig Forum". Would make it easier to get orientation.

That is actually a good idea, having a gig forum where those who want to talk about upcoming live events can speculate to their hearts content and not get in the way of those who want to eulogise about the various merits of Bizarre Cheese Triangle and the rest of the new offering.

:skeptic:

Do I detect some irony here?

I don't do irony. A spade is something you hit somebody with and then use to bury the body.

While I was convinced it would be a bad idea to do yet another forum, while searching for some facts about some "heard through the grapevine" information I got, I noticed that the Chemical Brother's forums do have one... !

Specific forum just for gig... and they have something New Order will never have, a forum to suggest bonus tracks for the singles ;)

BTW, for not being lost in translation again, do you say it is a good idea or it isn't? :skeptic:

Tell you what, I'll even agree to moderate it (provided I get my old powers back for the ones I am still listed as moderator of)

Honestly, I think it's a very good idea. At least for the time they do gigs.
