What the f---! I can't believe I fell for the same NewOrder bullshit they usually pull...

No fricking North American Tour? All they are doing are festivals this summer? What the shit!!!

New Order, what is your f-ing problem with touring and getting out to see your fans????....I am frustrated beyond belief...everyday I visit this awesome site and find out that they are playing, yet, another festival in Europe.

Yes, I know they are coming to Coachella...Do I want to stand around in the desert waiting for Neworder to play a 45 minute setlist? No f-ing way!....It would also be impossible for me to make it that weekend because of other plans...

I don't know about you guys, but I am about through with this band. I haven't seen them come to Chicago since 1993 and that concert wasn't even that great...I think they barely played an hour.

Damn, look at the band "Phoenix" they just came to my city a couple months ago and they are again slated to return this spring in April...and they are just a little tiny band from France that barely has the audience of New Order. The fact is, New Order doesn't give a shit about their fans..festivals are a cop-out....no pressure to play a long set list and half the people there might not even pay attention to them....

Even M83 is visiting Chicago...Also,I just saw Keane play last week and I just heard on their website forum that they will return in late spring or early summer....These bands, obviously give a damn about their fanbase.

NewOrder, the hell with ya'.....

They seem to have about as much interest in coming to play for their fans in various cities as I do in going to the desert to see them play a 45 minute set.

Rob, those "tiny" bands that now and then come to play in Chicago do it for some little money. New Order as you must know played ALOT in 1980-81-82-83... in North America - when they were that type of a "tiny" half-recognizable band. They also did it for some little money: a bunch of their singles and a few albums hardly made them rich enough to keep up with investments into the Hacienda.

What, can you imagine them playing in some small Chicago club? I doubt. :shades:

Calm down. If we want to see them we have to see them where they play. With a bit of luck they might be doing a few more dates. I don't see them getting all their gear over there for just one date. Most here however don't see them doing this.

You should maybe relax.

As far as I know, there are still plenty of dates not confirmed and at the state of rumours.

Everything is still possible, but let them reveal their tour schedule first.. which obviously isn't done yet.

Remember, the album is released 1 month later in North America, so give it some time, Krafty isn't even release for radio yet !

And if New Order doesn't do other dates in North America by the end of 2006... I pull the plug on this website! damn it, with the other album due for 2006, there is no way in hell they can do that to us, we haven't seen them in the east coast since 1993!

Well in case you haven't seen a picture of Barney lately i'll let you in on a little secret....they're old!

If you were a fan during the 80's then you could have caught them live almost every year. Take a look at the US tour dates.

What makes something special is rarity. This is what made the Area 51 show in California so cool. Seeing people wearing New Order shirts was flat out surreal. I sure wish I had kept my '89 USA Technique tour shirt because there were people wearing theirs, not to mention someone in a Substance tour shirt.

New Order have such a small fanbase left in the USA why would they tour? Who would go?

Anyways, they conquered America once (USA '89) and memories are always better than the real thing.

I've noticed that most of the people on here telling the North American fans to shut-up, and stop your crying, are fans who will get a chance to see New Order live this year. You guys have to understand, the thought of not getting a chance to see your favorite band live really sucks.

The comment about New Order barely having any fans left in the US is bullshit in my opinion. And I do wish that New Order will care enough about their US fans, and come play at a few more US dates.

It is early, so here's hoping that New Order will play at a few more US dates.

Always 2006. Remember that they pimped Get Ready in both 2001 and 2002. Also they are getting old, look at those photos! But at least 3 dates in the US--Coachella, Chicago and New York.

Jesus, you Americans are a whiney bunch of cnuts!!! No wonder new order doesn't want to do a tour in the States...

Or maybe they just don't like DUBYA!!!!

I would just like to point out here that New Order have never played Luton, Colchester or Crouch End, which are the three signigicant places I've lived my entire life.

I did live briefly in their heartland, in Mancland, between July 89 - Feb 90 and the barstewards never played Manchest-uh then either. I had to see them in Reading instead during that time period.

Bitter? You betcha! ;)

And they've never played in any of the places I lived for significant periods, either. Not while I was there anyway.

Those who would like to point out that we are only telling septics to stop whinging because we are going to see them play this year....that's right, we are going to see them play this year because we are going to travel thousands of miles to do just that. To Germany, Spain, Sweden, maybe Scotland and Ireland, maybe even Coachella if I can get the time off work.

Maybe all these fans should start buying records then and convincing Warner that New Order have a product that is worth promoting in the States..... caring about fans disappeared a long time ago, they are are a business, not the Libertines!

Tim.

Were you not living in Worcester when they played Malvern ??

Sheffield was always good to me.

Regarding this topic the post by Mr Doig sums everything up quite well.

No, I was living in Coventry at the time. It was a Friday night though, so was able to stop at the parents before the trip down to the Smoke!

Toys and prams? They will be 50 by the end of 2006, they aren't renowned for their love of live performance, and have no reason to want to play America.

What people don't seem to realise is that the album isn't even out yet until the end of next month - quite a few tour plans will probably be announced next month so as to maximise publicity/news headlines at the time of the album release.

Here in the UK, we've only had 3 festival dates tentatively announced - no tour at the moment, and not even a single live date. Certainly, with any of those dates, I'd need to spend quite a bit of cash and book time off work - none of them are on my doorstep by any means!

So, be patient, you never know what might be announced in the next couple of weeks... :)

l8rs,

Nick ;)

I'll just keep my mouth shut from now on. Talking too much about this brings bad luck. :ignore:

Guys, there is something you now and don't want to tell? Any rumours about a show in Latin America?... :confused2:

Shit, we've been rumbled. They have actually agreed to play a gig in Julio's rectum, it's just a case of signing the contracts.

New Order are only doing festivals and the guys (and the girl) from Curitiba Pop Festival are not even trying to bring New Order to Brazil. Forget about it.

New Order could easily play nice midrange venues they player in the mid 80s here in the states. 2-3000 seats at $35 a pop is $70k a show.. though i would suspect tickets might be even more. it's not like they have this HUGE stage display, so what's holding them back? they are CUNTS! :D

Yes of course they could do. Why should they bother though? Bernard doesn't like playing live, they don't need the money, and septics keep calling them cunts all the time. They don't need to put themselves out.

I think you need to shut your ass about the "cunt" comment....also, them about being too old and having enough money is irrelevant...Look at the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springsteen??? How about Paul McCartney? Those guys play huge shows! Huge Venues and play a setlist longer than 45 minutes.

Plain and simple, New Order will have deceived their fans once again if they fail to embark on a full-fledged tour of Europe and North America...

Frankly, I think that is very arrogant of NewOrder to think that they have "enough money" so they shouldn't have to tour? Then why release a fucking album? Obviously they need some money or enjoy getting the money from the sales? Think about it....

Spotnick...good call about shutting your site down if they don't tour by at least 2006. I agree, if they don't do something for their fans on a wider scale, I will officially put neworder in my "where are they now?" file. They will be a distant memory and I will concentrate my efforts on bands that give a shit about their fans, like Phoenix, Keane, Interpol, M83, The Ocean Blue, The Killers, amongst others...

Come on Fans!!! Get Angry...Let New Order know that you are pissed and that you will not stand for this bullshit any longer. Also, what was the bullshit on this site about another album coming out in the summer of 2006? Are you freaking retarded? Do you know the history of this band and releasing new material? If they have a new album in 2006...I will be utterly amazed...it won't happen and quit dreaming...

I get angry if they don't come to Berlin within the next 12 months, okay? :evil4:

:scream: This is hilarious - so you're prepared to write off New Order because they have announced a live apperance in the USA, but you 'have plans' that weekend - and this is 'bullshit' on their part? Do you honestly think that you are 'owed' a tour that is convenient for your timetable and location? In case you need it spelt out, New Order don't tour much these days, for many different reasons. When an opportunity arises, ie. they announce a festival appearance in your country, go and see them - you may not get another chance. As many have pointed out here, many other fans plan to travel across several countries to see NO live this year. I have no expectations that they'll visit Australia again soon - and we waited 15 years between appeararnces - but I'm not naive enough to think that they owe me a concert that fits with my diary. We were very lucky to get a 'tour' in 2002, and I don't expect another. Oh, and you're also expecting them to be better than the gig you saw in 1993, or you'll consign them to the 'where are they now' file? I bet they are absolutely shitting themselves...
