When i was listeing to this track for the first time it reminded me of See-Saw by Monaco. Did any one else think this or am i going ![]()

If you read my thread on "good news old people" the lads who were listening to WFTSC at school liked this track the most. I guess it appeals to younger people this one. I also would vote it as prob the 3rd single from WFTSC!

Agreed. In fact, the worst NO song EVER! I tell you what, that FAST SYNTH is a useless track. Those horrible female vocals make me wanna puke. P-U-K-E!!! :dead:
Not so fast...this song is incredible. When I dj'ed a set last week, I played this song and the crowd went insane. I must of had a million people come up to the booth and ask me who the artist and title was...They were going crazy! I played it 3 times and they were singing along to the chorus by the last time I played it.
I think it is a gem....Not the best on the record, but I don't think any song on the new album sucks.
If they dumped the female vocals and replaced them with Barney vocoded, faded out, in harmony with himself, or just deleted them entirely, it'd be a thousand times better. The rest of the song is darned good, but those vocals just ruin it.
In fact, three of the songs on the album have either Barney repeating himself or female vocals repeating him - Guilt, Jetstream, and Krafty, and they're all worse for it.
Who is doing the backing vocals? Doesn't sound like Dawn. Sorry if it's been mentioned before.

You may be right that the worst NO song ever is on WFTSC, but ... it certainly is J-E-Tstream ![]()
First few times listening to this track it sounds like one of those cheap euro dance pop mixes. Really not too sure about this album at this early stage, let's hope it all grows on me.
Actually, listening to this track right now, kinda catchy, but this sound, this isn't New Order is it.
It's going to be a massive dance chart hit pretty much everywhere, I think. It feels to me like a so-so trance remix of Sweet Lips.
I hated it at first, but I have to be honest, it became one of my favorite arount the 20th time I listened to the album....

While not as good as Turn or the title track, I like Guilt... more than any other synth track on the album. It's way better than See-Saw though. That track is truly embarrassing and one of the few tracks on the second Monaco album that I don't like.

Agreed!
Why?
This is the 90210 track of the album. The track that will be a hit in the U.S. (as evidenced by the recent tracklisting for the U.S. version with the remix). As a result, NO's (apostophe right?) popularity in the U.S. will grow due to this POP tune, resulting much better chances of them touring in North America.
The 2005 version of World Perfecto Mix, which is a classic dance hit.
Therefore, best track on the album, from a NewOrder US point of view.......
See you in Chicago Barney!
Hey, is it Astrid Williamson that I hear on backing vocals?
It's definitly not Dawn Zee. And I wonder if there's not a second vocalist as well ???

By the way, something weird that I found by making a search on Google :
From: http://www.teras-wish.com/guilt.htm
Guilt is a useless emotion. It is a societal manipulation technique to make you conform to a specific form of behavior. If you feel guilt because you have done something wrong, make it right. If you feel guilt for spending too much time on yourself; figure out who determines that amount. Is your family fed and clothed and sheltered? Who do you think is going to punish you if you spend time on your art?
