I've just been going through some of my old New Order stuff (it's been in the loft for about 5 years!)to discover that my old Record Collector magazines (numbers 135 & 136) featuring a really good article and Discography have been completely destroyed by rain.
If anyone has a scan of the two articles I'd be really grateful!

Something that I've always wondered since I first read the article is that on page 11 it says (about "World In Motion"), the following:
"and a U.S. Promo CD containing a remix unavailable in the UK, which is worth seeking out for less than a tenner."
Erm, is there? I've personally never seen one in 15 years of looking, and neither is it mentioned in any discogs I've subsequently seen.
So, anybody have any ideas?

Firstly i was told that the REMIXES IN MOTION was on a CANADIAN CD in an elaborate
TRIANGLE shaped cover for 35 quid back in 1990/1.NOT TRUE i later found out.
Secondly this item above which i still have (the mag) also PUZZLED me.
TLV and others i have asked tell me that the FIRST is NOT true.But still intrigues me cos the guy who offered it me was MARK from the infamous RECORD PEDDLER on SWAN STREET Manchester and he was BRILLIANT for FACTORY items.But it closed and i am still no wiser!
ANYONE shed any details please?
Ah, Mark from Record Peddler - yeah, I used to buy a shedload of stuff from him - remember buying quite a few Factory promo videos from him! Wished I'd bought the Revenge 'Deadbeat' video when I had the chance... :(
Oh yeah, the UK 'Remixes In Motion' CD came in a white card sleeve (in fact, I think I bought it from Record Peddler?), but I'll keep an eye out for that triangle one - you never know!

He told me the BLUE video BOXES are ORIGINAL FACTORY.But according to one guy who owns some of the NEW ORDER equipment (EMULATORS) and was well in with the band....they are NOT.MARK had a stash of boxes in the back of his shop.The MTYH/LEGEND of FACTORY conned.Isn't it great when you find out years later you've been HAD as MR ROTTEN would say.I was..........he did have some great stuff.Why the hell i just did not buy the lot i will NEVER know.I just liked collecting gradually and always thought the shop would be there.Alas like FACTORY or should i say because FACTORY went so did MARK. Shame...never be the same again!
Yeah, I've got a number of the blue boxed ones - ah well, the quality's still good! :)
Also got quite a few of the white boxed ones as well, so who knows... 
Yeah, wish Record Peddler was still around - always used to give him a shout when some new New Order project was around the corner, for promos and such like!

Yes indeed his prices were good and he used to correspond with you if you didn't go to his shop.Brilliant times before the internet and COLD selling from ONLINE shops.The good old days gone forever.At least we had the chance to sample FACTORY delights in those days.

Never seen the triangle thing you're talking about.
BE MUSIC i don't think the TRIANGLE one exists,I am trying to find the LETTER i got about it though for any other details.

Haven't the values of the early stuff gone up a bit?
I was looking through the 2006 Record Collector price guide and was surprised to find that there's hardly any N.O stuff in there (especially compared to the 5 pages of PSB!!). Surely the Peter Saville Soundtrack is worth something??

I know that it's good to have an updated price guide, but you already have one for 2006... That's amazing 
You'd be surprised how the price have changed thanks to eBay. eBay created an (almost) ideal marketplace (supply and demand) for collectors. It used to be more exciting to find an item in a store or at a record-fair without having to fight for it on eBay - or paid high prices at Esprit.
There are threads here on NOOL discussing "the collector's Holy Grail", "most collectible items", etc. Search for them.
