Why limit it to the silver screen and remixes. Surely everything in life is fundamentally flawed.

Well I'd have to personally disagree. Within the constrains of expectation, some things can be truly and genuinely pure i.e. not flawed.

So only films and re-mixes count.

Actually, so do crisps as crisp manufacturers constantly produce 'ready salted' a perpetual waste of fried potatoes. A fundamental flaw.

I'm disappointed that the best you can say about Towed Your Soap, H, is that it's better than the two worst tracks on GR, considering that one of those is one of the absolute worst things NO have ever perpetrated.

Thanks for reminding me of my film theory, which, as DC suggests, is probably more broadly applicable.

I believe Adrian Lima to be flawless. In fact The Ones' - Absolutely Flawless could easily have been penned in her honour. oh and The Sabres mixes of Regret, as well.

Its a hugely debatable subject (one which could provoke at least 3 more posts before being dropped in preference for 'New Order in Dukes of Hazard Movie Special'). But to answer the eternal question; is there not only one proper God?

I'll be sniffing out the entire selection of Krafty cakes this weekend, but I cannot guarantee I will consume all of them, that may be too greedy.

The Sabres version of Regression? - is that the version with the mock-cowboy ruler-type spring bounces?

For what it's worth, (nowt), I think the Glimmer 12" is rather good. Also, tracks 3 and 4 of cd 2, whatever they're called, are a bit tasty too. Phones Reality mix is genuinely mince!

Are you saying that there are version of Krispy that are actually worth listening to and that don't just repeat a couple of daft synth sounds someone's knocked up in half an hour?

That's flawed Hanky - The Sabres 'Slow n Low' ... it's flawed because the Fire Island Mix is better!

Almost to the quality of Adrian's Lima.

I would agree with K**T that Glimmers is worth a listen, and I like the Phones version but I'm fairly sure you won't, H. Track 3, labeled Andy Green but probably Rich Costey re-edit, does nothing for me.

The Glimmer mix is quite stripped down H, definitely worth wrapping your ears around.

I'm rather simple, and so, vastly underqualified to comment on the complexities, or not, of remixes. But i'll try. It's the simplicity of the Glimmer Mix I like in particular, and the deep bass. The other two are just good because I like them for some reason. Like I said, I know nothing!

By the way, is this the first time on an NO album or single version that there has been a "mixed by" credit?

Just did a bit of intense research on Lima and she looks flawed in two significent departments. First, I can't find any evidence that she's a New Order fan. Second, I'd posit that she's a little el stupido.

When you haven't access to the discs, its quite confusing trying to come to terms with the phraseology:

The Telephone's Over-dub 96 is really Jack Smackbox Dirty Dishes Hyperbole 9 version 2. A mis-print near the final songs, one of which, the Glitter Tube Re-mix being the larger of the amphibious mammals.

It was easier in the 80's ... one 12" and an alternative 12".

Has anyone witnessed the Billy Jean himself turning up to his gig wearing a pair of pyjamas?

Not sure you'll like the glimmers that much either huntsman as you are so anti-remix. I even think you didn't like Lee COombes crystal, which was quite frankly, brilliant. And still is.

The Phones mix is the best of the lot as it does add some new sounds and direction. Personally I like it. Tracks 3 and 4 are basically slightly different arrangements of the single - good if you like the original, but not especailly necessary to be honest. The Glimmers is a pleasant enough mix, though I find it a tad bland.

Drinking a cup of Yorkshire tea at 8am, saturday morning is pretty much flawless, both in concept and execution. As long as it's made right of course. Or likewise, your first pint on friday night after work.

Mr. B - you've cast doubt on the Glimmer mix ... maybe they're all a bit flawed. I would have thought that the song Krispy Aromatic Duck had quite a good array of elements with which to re-mix. A bit like BLT (but not obviously in that special arean where BLT resides).

A cup of Yorkshire tea surely deserves a cake accompaniment, or perhaps a buttered scone? I have to say that a cup of tea is far far more flawless than having a pint. But then again I don't drink pints (unless its freshly skimmed milk gently floated onto my bowlette of Specialist K).
