Is it just me, or is anyone else having trouble getting the Simple Minds cover in the multimedia section? I actually like the minds and want to hear the bloody thing.

Shug, I have the minds "neon lights" album, and (somewhat) sadly the only thing Jimmy Kerr says on the song is "LWTUA" and nothing else. However, the music is upbeat, mostly synths, but a very catchy...and the album itself is pretty good; yet another band i've wanted to see over the years, and i think will have a better chance of seeing them here than N.O.
My favorite Minds album in Once Upon A Time, and song is Alive and Kicking
No luck here either Shug. I'm more of a early Minds fan, up to New Gold Dream, but I don't really hear their music much anymore, so I would also like to hear it.
Got a video of them on Arsenio a few years back doing "See The Lights", which I taped mostly because I never thought I'd ever see them on American TV again.
Love the line in 30 Frames A Second where Jim sings "That can't be food...it's dirt".

Glad to see there are a few Simple Minds fans - I particulatly prefer their 80's stuff as well, Promised you a miracle and Chelsea Girl are probably my faves

Incidentally, there's a big New Order lad Colin who posts to Ceremony a lot, same surname as the Minds' frontman, and he sits just seven seats away from him at Parkheed. Have they organised the entire ground in alphabetical order up there, or wot?!
Shug, one small thing - if you want Simple Minds version of LWTUA so much, then I'm sure you'd love to hear the Paul Young version from 1983.
Or maybe the Swans' version from 1988.
Anyway, IMHO, Simple Minds crapped out big time when they started trying to be U2 in 1984 with "Sparkle In The Rain" . All their stuff before then was good though.

Yer taking the Michael Marty - just because I like Simple Minds does not fucking mean I like Paul Young or The Swans (although I do have the LWTUA singles)

Cheers Jarvo - yeah there's a bit of a stereotype thing with us Tims liking U2 and Simple Minds - but after 89 neither of them have really appealed in the same way - seens as I'm a useless get - what is the address for the Ceremony mailing list? - cheers mate.
