New Order were just on TOTP miming KRAFTY, looked good though. When I say good, obviously not as good as their BLUE MONDAY live appearance :thumb:

Yeah, some 'flattering' camera work (i.e. not too many close-ups!). No, but honestly, I still think Barney looks much the same as he has in the past few years i.e. 'young' for his age; Hooky looked better than we've seen before and was playing a bass that I at least ain't seen him play before. Barney's leg was going a bit and a bit of air punching too. Barney at the end: 'Thank you, thank you, nice one, Manchester lads in the area'!?

I reckon Barney and Hooky have both lost some weight since the first promo shots a month or two ago. Must be all the running around to these photo shoots and interviews.

Although he mimed it OK and restrained his dancing/jig to a few seconds, i do cringe that Warners (presumably) make them do karaoke. :nonono: Suppose it's because it was the pre-chart performance.

I cringed when I heard they were miming on TOTP, but I thought they pulled it off ok. Both Hooky and Barney looked great (didn't see Steve that much) and Barney kept the jigging and a whooping to a minimum. I must admit that I wasn't too keen on krafty but after seeing it on the box , its definately growing on me.

Yeah, they all looked pretty good. Does Barney drink some anti-ageing potion, because he never looks any older!

Good to see some decent music on the telly (even though they were miming)

Hooky's bass. Nice. Thunderbird Gibson. I was insanely jealous.

Sam (the bass player)

If you watch the TOTP performance of "Here to Stay" from a few years ago (the video is available in the audio/video section of the site) you'll notice all of the band members are playing equipment they normally don't use on stage. I think Hooky's even using the Thunderbird in the HTS performance too.

I believe TOTP has "prop" instruments or rental instruments that they have guest performers use on stage. That way, the bands don't have to waste time and effort bringing their real gear, since they're only lip synching anyway. That's my take on it.

It was also edited, another slightly different version, second verse had a couple of lines dropped and no wobbly synth bit, different to the NME awards version, how many version are they going to do before they find a live one they like.

Well they like to keep us waiting these TOTP producers dont they?.Sat thru the Bravery (actually its not a bad song but i just cant take the singer seriously). And those chicks in the sexy air stewardess uniform to that dance version of that old 80s song phwoar!!!.And Ferne Cotton presenting- phwoar!! .You can take your Cat Deeley, Ferne is hot!.Anyway, to the Order. THEY EDITED THE SONG!.I knew they would do that. They did it on Here To Stay. They cut some of the second chorus (the "got to live your life/looking at the star from underneath the tree" bit) and the wobbly bit.Apart from that it was great.Bernard was looking fantastic - hes got his hair sorted out.Its been a mess up til now recently.Best miming performance theyve done:thumb:

Even though they mimed, barney seemed to be lip syncing the lyrics without the auto cue, even an edited version, so why can't he cope without it live.

Wonder how stoned/drunk he was.

Or 87, 89 or 93?

After Crystal and HTS I wasn't too surprised, still hoping they'd do it live, afterall, Barney mimed without the aid of an autocue, so they must be rehearsing mate.

Was good seeing them. I'm convinced Bernard had a few drinks after the comment hehe!
