Do you have to be single to be active on this forum

I cannot post at work simply because I don't have a direct connection to my computer - and anyway, the other six lads who work in this office (Marketing/Ad agency/consultancy) always seem to be straight onto their porn-downloads or other predictably tedious things as soon as the gaffer's back is turned for more than five minutes. That's entertaining once or twice but after three months of working here, to hear constant schoolboy sniggering everytime some fit girl's big boobs or genitals are flashed up on their screens becomes admittedly a bit of a bore (latest favourite trick - downloading lots of obscene homo-erotic pics of Bin Laden - truly repulsive you know???!!!) ....So guess who usually ends up doing all the overtime until late at night? Yep, you got it - muggins here. You may or may not notice that I tend to log on at two specific points in the day - lunchtime (usually between 1.15 and 1.50 pm) then during the evning towards 9pm til about after midnight. Theyre the only times I can actually get on during the week. And anyway, such is the addictive nature of this damn site (!!) I always find myself coming straight home and logging in to check the latest shit, instead of switching on to do things that I should have done ages ago or other constructive uses like surfing the net for a new life in Holland or other opportunities that may affect my future here (like finding a cheap web-based estate agency-type thing so I can sell this fucking house quicker without having to go thru all the channels of hassle that you normally do).

I've also been using this computer to continue working on putting together some further instrumentals of really brutal electronic, sample-based drum-driven pieces that have taken me the best part of eight months to get back round to doing further work on - such is the lazy sod that I am. I've had loads of samples put by for use but try as I might, I cannot piece them together to make 'em work, so I've been putting THAT off for ages now. The first such CD I made - a riotously noisy 4-track Brazilian Carnival Whiteout - sold about fifty copies to all my friends from the bands when I flogged it earlier this year -and they've been waiting on me to produce a second one. So now I'm duty bound to follow it up....groan....!!

Anyway, I enjoy posting on here, that's obvious for anyone to see. But sometimes I wish I could discipline myself better and allocate specific times to doing specific jobs. I want some ORDER in my life too occasionally, but not necessarily THE ORDER all the time!!!!

I suppose I could post from work. But then, I've only been there for 3 months. So, I'm trying to be good for now. I go to the library and visit this site everyday after I get off work. Sometimes, I visit on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Needless to say, I am quite single. Which brings me to another point. Women suck. Except the ones on this site of course. I'm either too tall, too short, make too much money, don't make enough, wear too nice of clothes, don't wear nice enough clothes, too smart, not smart enough, too nice, not nice enough. I've seriously had enough. I don't even bother to flirt with the girls and female customers at my second job at, don't laugh, J Crew. They're all the same. Sorority bitches with daddy's credit card, working on a Bachelors Degree in Mediocrity. Oh well. Thats enough from me.

Oh yeah - and I'm defiantly single and sole owner of this house too - I've lived ten years alone here, but this year I've sacrificed some of my precious space to share it with my lodger and best mate Paul, so he sometimes pops up just to see the twaddle that I post in from time to time.

Ideally, seeing as my "noise room" is surrounded by my various stereos, two keyboards, a drum kit and other such items of junk (stringless guitar, cracked cymbals, percussion, all manner of other broken instruments, handless clock, a huge South Park poster and thousands of CD's Records, tapes and books groaning off the shelves), there's hardly any room to turn round, let alone swing a cat. But it's cosy and it's my little retreat from the outside world at any rate.

I am not single and I post but I do think that if you are single you have more time to be online.

I do agree that this is one of the only (best) places you can talk to NO fans, especially if you don't have many around you in person (like me!)

I can't post at work, unfortunately, because they have one of those tracker things. Not like they don't give me enough work to keep me busy every waking minute! :p

VG - I can't believe you would ever look ugly;) As fer staying up for a couple of days - I usually save that for 48 hour drinking sessions (weekends only-you understand) although I haven't done that for 3 months - last time I did my bastard mates shaved my hair off Fucking Wankers It's still short as fuck now - I may post a picture with moi and Mani in Manchester before the friday gig on the fan-club section...but then again....

Jimbo - I'm not being funny but I have fucking loads of stories that would have you in tears mate - basically I dropped out of college to fuck about with my mates - and we always used to "go on the rampage" which really means you'd get as drunk as possible - then go and have some fun - I have millions of these stories for you - but 1 springs to mind - I think we were about 21 - we were all down the pub, when the Malkster decides we should go on the rampage - so we left the pub - a bit "worse for wear" (pissed) and decided to go and cause some havoc....We were walking up this big road in a posh area of town, when we noticed that this one house had a "For Sale" sign in it's garden - not only that, but a lovely wooden bench in front of his living room window as well...so what do we decide Well first off we nicked the "For Sale" sign from his garden and put it in the garden directly opposite...then to make it even better we decided to remove the guy's wooden bench and put it in front of the other guy's window..so when the guy with the bench woke up and opened his curtains - he'd see the neighbour on the other side had nicked his bench - thus leading to a fight...and when Neighbour number 2 woke up he'd see the "For Sale sign" in his garden and start a fight with the guy across the road....which would have been immensely entertaining...except for the fact, that when we tried to exchange the bench - we made so much noise laughing that the first neighbour woke up and chased us in his "nightie" for about 10 minutes...FUNNY AS FUCK MATE. Honestly I have several of these stories...but I'll save them for another time;)

Apologies for getting back so late on this question Buster - too many damn threads to wade thru these days!!! And so many onliners now making it past 1000 posts too - what the feck is happening? Looks like we all ARE posting like there's no tomorrow!! Anyway, I DID visit a bit of Belgium last summer (Euro 2000 year) and fitted in a day's stay in Antwerp (home of the mighty dEUS, au naturellement) whilst I was in Amsterdam for that week. Nice city and I love the big cathedral - the Dom - stunning building. Alas, not too much time before I had to leave back for Holland again, but a second, longer visit is planned for next year - and maybe taking in Brussels too, so I'll keep you posted!

Buster, Martin, incidently I was in Antwerp last weekend, I go there every once in a while to enjoy those Belgian beers. There's some really great cafe's, especially a bit outside Grote Markt. There's also quite a few very good record shops all very close together in the Lange Koepoortstraat, just off the Grote Mrkt. Picked up three second hand NO CD singles there for 150 Belgian Francs each.

Cracking cafe on the street just to the left of the Dom, round the corner from the Grote Market. Spent hours there the other month when it was pissing down.

I might as well be single, all the fucking use it is trying to have a relationship with somebody who doesn't give a fuck about themselves or anyone else. In fact I think that may be the best course of action available to me. Mini-rant only, as it's not fair to inflict my bilious mind on you good people.

Cheers - will have to check those out next time I'm in Antwerp - and hopefully I'll have more time to explore more thoroughly all that the city has to offer. Some of those Grote Markt cafés are indeed fine - and I love the authentic taste of the Vlaamse Patat Frites from the outlet nearest the Dom on the left hand side of the square - scrummy they were.... mmmm mmmm - voortreffelijk!!!

It's funny because I work in Antwerp but don't know much of it. Reason is I live in Brussels and, when my day's work is over, I just wanna go home...
