Well, you're not missing much with Dub Vulture, P - being the remix of the remix of Sub Culture, the charm of the original is significantly diminished. And as a way of altering Robie's take on on the track, the phrase 'you can't polish a turd' comes to mind. Stick with the LowLife version, I say.

By the way, CTB, I neglected to thank you for your endorsement of my VU selection. So, belatedly, thank you. In terms of your top three, unfortunately I haven't heard two of them. Although NO have been my favorite band for the past twenty years, I felt that I couldn't honestly give the best item ever nod to them.
Fair enough, P - obviously this is going to reveal the diversity of tastes here in NOOL land. VU did some quite marvellous stuff, although to be honest Lou Reed as a solo artist produced what I generously describe as sonic flatulence for the most part.
My selections, apart from Run, extend from Baroque Classical to fingernails-on-blackboard shrill 80's American punk. Both are lovely in their own ways, but share little in common except that they both get played regularly in this bear's den.
I fear your question has precipitated a catatonic state in dC - either that or the soft bastard has gone to bed.

Yes, CTB, Lou Reed's solo career was only slightly better than Sting's.
At first I thought DC must be giving my question a great deal of consideration, but now I think he must be otherwise occupied.
Lads, I'd love to suggest that I spent the last four hours in deep contemplative thought; flipping through my racks of vinyl and slipping CDs in and out of the drive; consulting back issues of NME and Goldmine; engaged in a cerebral tug-of-war trying to determine who's scaled the zenith of my personal musical tree but alas I was just watching Crossing Jordan and eating a bowl of chilli.
It may seem a little lowbrow sitting alongside your Adagios and Velvets but my favourite ever musical moment is the 12" version of The Perfect Kiss. I could bore you all senseless rationalising why but feel there is no real need. If I had, cough, any idea what taking MDMA was like, I'd expect I could make a lazy comparison of the visceral rush of this little ditty to it.

Well, DC, I don't want to sound ungrateful, but if that was going to be your answer, did you really need to make us wait this long? After such a delay, I expected some title I never heard of from a band that I never imagined existed in country with a name I can't pronounce.

Well, DC, I would say that message of yours is just about conclusive proof that you and H are in fact one and the same.

All these accusations of multiple identities makes my head spin - my original thoughts were that P = the 'real' Huntsy (using some IT boffinry to mask the IP address), and that Dc = the 'fake' Huntsy of recent posting. Now I'm not sure of anything, except that I am only CTB and nobody else (at present).
Good call for TPK nonetheless, Dc - I'd have thought your love of BM may have tipped the balance, but I agree with your comments on the dizzying euphoria that the original 12" elicits on every listen - heady stuff. Now it's back to them bones....

Pastie posts only a single sentence which is always withint the scope of the topic, unless he's just eaten soup in which case he may apply an additional couple of words for good measure. DC is incapable of posting without referring to a back catalogue number and/or a local event in Austria where the host will be handing out promotional stunt kites, and I post long or small with topics as far ranging as bacon and horses.
