G'day mates (hello friends!), I too have logged on especially to see Hucklebutt's thoughts on our deconstruction of his art. And to chip away at the mystery that is Patsy. Today I shall endeavour to find out if it's true that he's a negro. Not that there's anything wrong with that, I have a friend who is one.

I am a lady today. It's my tribute to something. I forget what.

Good luck with your efforts, DC. I wasn't aware that Alanis was hugely popular in the African-American community.

Actually, H, one of the other projects you were going to devote your efforts to was a response to yesterday's speculation about your coat of arms.

I've now had the chance to read properly the beautiful estimations on the montage - I'm honored that such discussion has expanded over almost 5 independent posts within a 24hr period.

I'm dashing here, consuming food there at present but I fully intend to administer the full truths that the montage holds as soon as I can. To a throw a biscuit of intrigue I can happily relay that the title is simply; 'Rocky Against the Animals', and that the line features quite a crucial element of the piece, if you note its purpose in the painting.

Yes come on, I've extended my lunchbreak by an hour to hear this.

It's not polite to keep a lady waiting, you know.

:nono:

Edit: I was composing this bollocking as you were compiling your 'teaser'. Please accept my apologies, sir.

Excellent. Well that's today's detective work out of the way, Columbo eat your heart out. Perhaps I should retire early? So it's out with da boyz in da hood and in with the Jagged Little Pills for P.

I must say, this is an unexpected find and mildly upsetting.

I'm off to do some work now.

Please carry on without me.

You seem to have forgotten, DC, that Alanis sent you to bed last night, and today's references to that illustrious Canadienne are simply allusions to that incident. Perhaps you thought you dreamed it.

Perhaps "hugely popular" was a poor choice of words. I should have said "I wasn't aware that Alanis was known at all in the African-American community."

That will be very difficult, Monica. But we'll try.

Due to the wall that you have constructed around yourself P (who here has less info about them on their avatar, not even a country of origin!), I need to employ some quite progressive psycho-analytical techniques to generate some sort of identity profile. If you approximate a quote from Alanis Morrisette, I will make an assumption that you have taken the time to listen to her lyrics and may therefore be positively disposed towards her canon.

I will try to be entirely truthful, as always, DC. At the time Alanis gained worldwide attention, I bought the album you referred to, presumably because I liked one or more of the tracks. I would imagine that it has been a number of years since I saw, let alone listened to, that particular item or anything else associated with the fair Alanis. If you have any other questions on this subject, I would be happy to address them, DC.

And on the subject of secrecy, DC, apart from letting us all "know" that you live in Western Australia, I believe you have been far more successful at self-concealment than I have.

I'd have thought it was the other way around, P. Perhaps we should consult someone more objective, Hustler perhaps, for an opinion.

In my defence, I have actually met a small, select handful of other NOOLers in the 'real world' and even shared beverages and stories of Manchester's finest with them. I suspect you can't match this?

Your suspicion is correct, DC.

I think asking for H's reaction on the more general point would certainly be fair.

OK, we'll await the country critter's response.

Do you have any intention of catching a NO live show this year Pats? I'd have thought NYC for instance, was but a brief plane ride away. You could even sport an ironic t-shirt for the occasion: 'Leave Me Alone!'

That would certainly have been the obvious one, DC. Unfortunately, I am required by my job to be in California on that date, and that particular obligation also makes the Chicago appearance infeasible.

As an outsider looking towards the inside, it's about 50/50:

Whilst DC appears open and friendly, he rarely offers up anything other than white bread, which as everyone knows, is pretty safe - even toasted. Pastie, likewise, chit-chats but not really off-topic unless as a commentator, and then it will almost never be about his actual shoe size.

We know a little about P because people have mentioned his approximate whereabouts, and given DC is from the land of Oz, then there can only be a few similar chickens.

Put it this way, I doubt anybody could correctly guess the precise contents of either persons biscuit barrel.

Incidentally, the montage explanation is ready.

I've kept it short, and to that point, and thus will post soon.

Well, H, thank you for offering your objective evaluation. It's hard for me to find anything to quarrel with there.

P, where should the evaluation of the montage be posted? ... I'm a bit out of touch at the moment, what with all the recent activity.

That's a shame. Have you ever seen them live, P?

I wonder if Hustler will be attending any live shows this year? He doesn't seem too fond of leaving the woodlice in the willows of Marske.

Eau Contraire DC, my wagon of snacks usually rattles to gigs.

I do usually phone ahead though, with plenty of drinking water a prerequisite for my friends.

No, I've never seen them live, DC, unless the 511 DVD counts, which I suspect is not what you had in mind.

I had tickets to see them at a show here in the late 80's but I was far too sick to go.

You've never seen New Order live?

Have you heard any of their records?

Have you ever shared an Irn Bru with any NOOLers, Hustler? Don't think I've ever heard it mentioned in passing. Surely someone would've passed comment on your hat, for instance.

Note to case file: P positioned in gig-attending age bracket in late 80s.

I just study the lyrics. It's nearly the same as hearing them.
