I know, Nicos, I was wrong obviously. But at least I was right about "THAT extra mile". Hehe!
In Who's Joe:
'You had your heart [hurt?] by a woman'
should be:
You had your heart broke by a woman

After looking again at the adjacent lines, M, I see what you mean. "In cold blood" actually would make more sense there. I am not able to listen right now, but I will retract my prior comment and reserve final judgment until I can listen again.
I hope we're still friends?:(
I'm still with Maya on that one, it was my original interpretation of it.

The 2nd time I hear "With a no-good girl"...
And I seriously don't hear "Down The Old West Side" after Dawn Zee's first "Take her, take the world"...

In cold blood we don’t care
100% sure of it.

I've listened to it a good few times in the headphones -

But yeah, i'm not CERTAIN
And past tense makes sense... "you had the brightest future, but you couldn't..."

I've already indicated I agree.

I agree with Cuana's changes and his comments.
The first time the line is:
AND a no-good girl
The second time the line is:
WITH a no-good girl

He skipped that line?
It's the heart of the song!
That proves he's an idiot.

How are you getting on with your lyric-free day, Patrick? Missing them at all?

I'm not happy with the first to lines of this. Has anyone offered corrections?
I believe I did, Monica. Missing "wrong."
You are very good Patrick.
I still don't hear "wrong" at all ... ![]()

Nic, listen to the Canal + version. The 'real' barney singing over the recorded one in the chorus sings
I got it all wrong Cause you were not the wrong one.
So we know what the Autocue thinks!
It's not at all clear on the cd.
Thanks for those files, by the way - ace![]()

In fact, those could well be the words on the cd as well (listening to it now).
So just the words on the Japanese sleeve disagree.

I also here "you gotta go to BANK" on the Canal+ Krafty... that doesn't mean it's the right lyrics live ;)
Now wait, that's actually the first time he got it right live!!
Ok I have just updated the first page, so if you now see something I missed, please point it out before I update the lyric pages... ![]()
Spotnick, I'd like to have one last go at convincing you that the words for WFTSC chorus are sung as:
I've got it all wrong Cause you were not the wrong one And I don't know where to turn when you're gone
Listen to the last time the chorus is sung - I'm sure that's what he sings. Also definatley sings that on the Canal+ recording, and (IMO) sounds like he's reading it.
You decide, I promise not to mention it again!

I agree with the second wrong part, and even on the cd I could hear that too. Thanks for the correction.
BTW, I still hear as follows on the Canal+ recording.
"Could never be as close as us" is definitly right on the cd but on the live redording I hear
Could never turn as bright as us ???
Will never shine as bright or good
Is this mean B's not always sings rihgt on live?
Now I know why he doesn't like to put the words with their albums.

I'll mention it! ;)
After a few fancy equlizer tricks, I was able to hear the "all wrong" part a little more clearly on the album version. It's blurred together but it's definitley in there. It just didn't sound right on the live version at first.
As mentioned, the lyric should be:
I got it all wrong Cause you were not the wrong one And I don't know where to turn when you're gone. When you're gone...

They are always switching up lyrics...I gave up on the finer details a long time ago cuz it will drive you MAD!!
