Do I hear some female backing vocals on WFTSC? Who's doing them?

Barney's sounding a little shaky in WFTSC? I wondered if he'd struggle, it's a tough one to nail. Great to hear it live though, I'm getting seriously jealous of you ticket-holders now.

Bernard did indeed sound shakey. Fucked up a lyric, as usual and during HNWYD he let out a little yelp! I'm excited to see them but listening to those tracks should drive home the point that New Order absolutely suck when they play live. It may be exciting to be there and watch them, but their ability to perform their songs is worse than some 3rd rate Hotel circuit band. Hey Now sounds more like Brit-Pop 10 years too late than it does on the record. Hopefully they'll have a few more rehearsals under their belt. It will still be fun but I think Hooky and Morris should get another synth player and tour without Bernard. He really is an awful performer.

Phil done most of the work on guitar. Barney had problems with his guitar on every tracks.

couldn't agree more. It will be great to hear the new stuff live. Hopefully we'll get Turn or Guilt too.

He had to adjust his guitar at the end of every track. He even broke a string in the middle of the 2nd take of Regret and had to start a 3rd take with another guitar. But Barney keep his cool

Well singing AND playing at the same time isn't always that easy live, where in the studio you don't have/need to!

Barney always sounds like this when he sings "new" songs. Rehearse and get confidence. Can't wait to see they doing this in Chicago.

A huge thank you! I really like this performance, I think there's an improvement from the NME Awards, a lot of energy, Phil and Hooky sound great. Only mild disappointment is Bernard's taped voice for the chorus of Krafty, maybe Hooky and Phil could have sung those parts...

On Krafty, some keyboard parts were taped too. Phil can't play together guitar and keyboard

On Crystal, the female voice was taped too.

I can tolerate better taped female backing vocals as the singer is not there, but to hear Bernard sing live and taped at the same time is ridiculous. BTW I'm even more convinced it's Gillian on the title track!

Yeah, I think its Gillian too. I want to believe it's her. She really needs to be there.
