The worst NO song...Is there one??

All polls done for this in the past lead to State of the Nation or Shellshock.
My personal worst song is Angel Dust. However it might not be the case anymore since the Community project made me discover it, so now it might point to Shellshock.

I don't have one yet

For me the prime candidates are Slow Jam and We All Stand.

Shellshock isn't that poorly written, but it drags on for too long. It's not one of their best, but I don't think it's awful, either.
I know I will get a lot of flak for this, but I really don't like Thieves Like Us.

What about Slow Jam and We All Stand, T?
Shellshock, Confusion, I told you so, Guilt is a useless emotion, Fine Time, Young Offender, Chemical, Liar

Well, we agree on Fine Time, at least.;)

No, I heard most of Movement... :D

Yes! absolutely agreed! I really DO!
Fine Time or Every Little Counts are pretty useless tracks to me. I never listen to them. However, Run Wild is the worst track they've done in my opinion.

We need to stick together. There are a surprising number of Shellshock-haters out there.
P, there's something really deep about the "you call me on the phone, you left me all alone" line ![]()

Yeah! But really I cannot understand that. I could understand, someone thinking Shellshock's not their biggest hit tune, and it definitely is not a killer live, but their worst song??? Come on, there's still Working Overtime, Rock the Shack and quite a number of songs on Republic whose names I've forgotten!
But Patrick, what can we do to get more support for Shellshock? It would be time to start a relistening session for it or something like that. That song needs some promotion.

Hey, hey, hey, we're not talking about lyrics, are we?

There's a kool B-side inst on the 12" though

Another "Shellshock"-lover here. The live arrangement that it used to have wasn't all that hot, but I love the Warrington 1986 debut, a great variation that was.

I think for the time being just pounce mercilessly whenever anyone says something bad about it. Don't permit any name-calling directed at Shellshock or we all start booing and hissing. How does that sound as a plan?

Do you mean the Vanishing Point instrumental? If so, I TOTALLY agree.
Shellshock goes on two minutes too long and has about seven too many sequencer lines that make the song fun on the first ten or so listens and then make it unbearably after that. It's far from their worst though and I think that title has to go to Liar, the Jetstream of 1993.
And chalk me up as another State of the Nation-lover.
i like rock the Shack i like Shellshock, state of the nation isnt that good to me but the song i cant really listen to any more(not because its their worst) is Blue Monday, i am just so tired of it, i must have heard that song 500,000,000,000,000, itmes if not more
worst song is the album version of We all Stand, which is Ironic because the Peel Session version of it is one of my favorites
If by worst you mean the one song that if I never heard again would not cause me any pain, then I would have to say Ruined in a Day. It just seems that they were going through the motions without a lot of emotion on that track.
I'm not a huge fan of Shellshock, but in a poll between ShellShock and Ruined, ShellShock would win hands down.

I'll have to listen to that one again. My memory of it is not that good.
