I would love to hear West End Girls with Hooky's bass in it! The version of RENT which they did with Suede was brilliant. Also want to hear any New Order's song with some keyboards or programming by Chris Lowe! I prefer the back vocals on Jetstream by Neil anyway!
Depends entirely on which side of the PSB's. PSB's have two totally conflicting styles of music - cheesy disco like A Different Point Of View, New York City Boy, Go West - in fact, all their highly charting music; and some much darker, more depressing tracks that could be mid-1980's New Order. Tennant even plays guitar on some tracks...

Neil's old voice might, but he has a mature vox, from sex and he sounds alot better. Have you heard Flamboyant?
bad, bad, bad idea. What do you think PSB could add to New Order???? Don't get me wrong, i don't hate PSB, some of their old records were great (behaviour, for example) but they are now forever gone. They lost their stylish touch, and turn for a more "gay friendly" audience. Getting Away With It was a cool collaboration, Patience of a Saint was like a darker PSB, and Disappointed was definitely a PSB track. So please, Neil, Chris stay away!

Look that was only one album, and only 3 or so songs.
Also, Neil doesnt need the autocue machine like yours truly. They dont fall on telepromters during gigs. They can collaborate with others just fine like Dusty springfield, Liza Minnelli, Pete Burns, Kiki Kokova, Robbie Williams and Barney with Electronic, so why not?
RIght on, to fade in on West End Girls with Hooky plucking his base in that unmistakeable 3-note beat would be quite sweet.

Well I guess they could produce something good, but that Neil is a bit of a girl isn't he? So I dunno really, i'm sure Barney wouldn't mind collaborting with em as he's a big fan.
Like many artists, Pet Shop Boys are at their best when they've got something worthwhile to say, rather than just singing about 'If I love you..' or 'Why do we hate each other so much...'.
"Learn to ignore what the photographer saw" is just as powerful, contemporary and necessary a quote to quote as Adam Ant's "Ridicule is nothing to be scared of" statement on Prince Charming.
As a gentleman of integrity, I must mention that The Pet Shop Boys first 14, maybe 17 singles, and their second & third albums were outstanding. Shep Pettibone's remix of Love Comes Quickly actually enchanced the original single. Some of their Disco/Introspective remix compilations were good too.
But I've not voted on any of the five above options, as I don't know how or how they could do in the future that would be worthwhile to music as a whole. If it's good, we need to hear it.

Left to my own devices, is one the greatest tracks from the late 90's. Last year they were here in Argentina in a Festival, and that song was still amazing.
And of course, as i said earlier in this thread, Behavoiur, A MUST.
But still, i don't think they can add, nowadays, something to New Order, IMHO
Heaven forbid they ever cross paths and join forces again. I despise the Pet Shop Boys - it's the vocals that do my head in - something about Neil Tenants fey irritatingly smug voice that just makesme want to garotte him.

Yeah - quite - they should start by producing some lace-embroidered beer mats for Barney & Co's next US tour rider.
I actually think it would be interesting for New Order to put out an EP (4 or 5 tracks) in late 2005, early 2006, that was produced by the PetShopBoys....
It makes me wish that New Order would do something interesting again, put out a non-lp single, or an EP, or collaborate with a bizarre situation like PSBs....

that is the most bullshitted commebt I heard today. PSB are in the guiness world records for most successful pop duo in UK with over 30 top 20 singles, can NO do that? PSB last single went 12th, so dont even go there
