Here to Stay should of been on WFTSC

Here to Stay sounds like a song that would've fit PERFECTLY on the album dont'cha think? It is THE ultimate New Order example of synth and rock. Why was it not inclused?

Thoughts?

it was released at least a 2years prior to WFTSC and everyone would have been bitching about it...it's on International and Retro so it's pointless to include it on WFTSC.

out of the 3 new topics you've just started, this one is by far the most ridiculous. did you even think about what you were saying? it's a nice thought, because Here To Stay is a great song, but can you imagine the whining if they had wasted 6 mins of the new album with a song that's 3 years old?

Here to Stay should have been released as a non-album single. Technically, it was, although it appeared on 24HrPP and Retro, but TBTHOG was also on Salvation and (the best of). Quite frankly, it's been their best song since they got back together and it deserved more attention than it received.

but they didn't tack Touched onto Technique did they? HTS does deserve more attention. three great versions: Original, Extended Instrumental and Felix Da Housecat mixes are killer. it would be nice to have some more electronic songs on the next album.

absolutely welcome folks from Japan...i just thought the statement hadn't been well thought out. Isamu's point, that Here To Stay is slightly overlooked and underapreciated, was a good one, but suggesting it should have been included on a studio album released 3 years after HTS was released was a bit out of step with reality.

I have to agree with that, BLT. The album that HTS should have been on was GR, but it wasn't ready unfortunately.

you're right Patrick. the Chemicals didn't have time to finish it for Get Ready but it would have made that album much better. in fact, i'm still miffed about the songs they chose to leave off Get Ready. that could have been one of their strongest albums with the proper track list.

I've said the same thing myself before, BLT. The choice of tracks to include on that album and the decision about what to leave off was nearly insane.

makes me believe there are still some amazing songs waiting to be released from the WFTSC+ sessions. the next album will probably have a couple of the best songs from those recording sessions.

I certainly hope so.

I'm a little puzzled about all these recent items saying the next album is completely done, when earlier they were saying they had seven songs done but needed a couple more, since seven tracks obviously aren't enough for an album.

Player In The League/Behind Closed Doors/Sabotage seems like they were some sort of preview for WFTSC in hindsight, they could of fit on there too.

Wasnt HTS supposed to be the single from the 24hrpp collection? I may be wrong.

Anyway, HTS was defintley a non album single in the UK. Was it not iin the US or anywhere else?

If it was, it's incredibly hard to find. I haven't even seen it on import here, let alone a regular CD single.
