When my alarm clock went off this morning at 7.15 (overtime unfortunately) there was an ad for something to do with NO on Radio 1. mentioned tracking back to Peel sessions etc. I was v groggy and didnt catch it properly.

Anybody else heard this?

BBC "6 Music" are going to be "delving deeper into the history of NewOrder" and playing some of the Peel Sessions along with some concert material "from the BBC archives" during what they describe as their Festival Season.

Well come on now man, what did you expect? Daytime Radio 1 have been more like Kindergarten Radio for the best part of the last 10 years. It's run and overseen by trendy ageist little shites who don't really give a frig about any bands that have been around for more than 20 years. With the exception of U2 of course. I really cannot get worked up about what is or isn't played on daytime radio anymore - or indeed whether or not New Order are still fashionable or popular, cos at the end of it all, it's the music you appreciate that counts. Getting riled about Radio 1's playlists is a bit like complaining about there being too many crap records being made nowadays. I never bother listening to it, so the obvious solution would be to tune out and tune in to something more intelligent. Far better to deprive them of their listening figures and hit them that way. Easy really.
