among all this confusion and disarray thats seemingly shrouding the board of late, i'll dare to buck the trend and post a NewOrder related topic!

Anyone know anything about a UK release of PFD on DVD and if so when?

I have no problem in purchasing the import but may as well bide my time if it appears in the UK.

Also after the relative flop of 60mph have we seen the last single release off Grready??

I haven't seen anything about a UK release of said DVD, but you're not missing anything if you don't buy it. Has absolutely NOTHING different to the video release, whatsoever. So, all the best songs are STILL missing from the gig!!!

It's quite funny seeing that "Work in progress" version of As It Is though !

bugger!

though my video copy is starting to deteriate in picture quality i thought it would be nice to have a fresh copy - especially seeing how superb the quality of the 316 dvd is!

bit of a scam not including any extras tho... its bloody annoying when the film a whole gig and only select certain tracks for release. You would think a DVD would be an ideal opportunity to bung the unseen material on.

ahh well...

By the sounds of it, I wouldn't expect too much in the way of improved picture or sound quality over a video copy. I don't think any special remastering has taken place. Seems like a straight dump.

We'll still buy it of course.

i got the dvd for christmas, the lack of extras is a disappointment yeah..the interview is pretty good though.i have the reading 98 on video and the dvd left out "ceremony" and "confusion" which sounded way better than "world in motion"

I second the comment about no bonus material. What a huge disappointment - especially with the dvd being an import from Japan, where bonus tracks are the norm.

Have the three missing tracks (Temptation, Age of Consent, and The Perfect Kiss) ever been in circulation among traders? I'd love to hear them.

Christ!!! You mean the DVD is not complete? Shit, I didn't know that the video has songs not the DVD...coz I passed up the chance to buy VHS coz it's a dying format.....

Yeah I agree with everyone else about PFD DVD....They should really give incentives to buyers or fans forking out money to the DVD copy when most of us would already have the VHS copy...

Erm.. let's make things clear: PFD DVD is the exact copy of the PFD VHS. No more, no less... I think the titles mentioned as lacking from the DVD(Confusion et al) were the Reading 98 titles on the 316 DVD, compared to what was available on video.

By the way, there's no interview on PFD. The interview is on 316.

The exact track listing of the PFD gig is here. As you can see, three tracks are missing on both the VHS and the DVD. A pitty. :(

Am I correct in understanding that the 316 VHS has more/different tracks from the Reading '98 gig than the 316 DVD?

I have the DVD, but would love to get the VHS if there are different tracks. Does anyone know if the VHS is still available and where someone in the US can order it?

i have the 316 dvd and a bootleg video of the reading 98 gig.the dvd leaves out "ceremony","confusion","love will tear us apart" and all the between song stuff.the video has the complete set list they played.the sound quality on the bootleg is reasonably good

Is the bootleg video professionally filmed or was it recorded by someone in the audience?

Was 316 "officially" released on VHS?

No - 316 is DVD only. The Reading gig on 316 is not the complete setlist, but it's the only legal version available. CTD
