Skullcrusher and Cries and Whispers

Did anyone alse notice the more than slight similarity between Skullcrusher and Cries and Whispers? It wouldn't be the first time that NO recycled their own material (Let's Go, world In Motion, Vanishing Point). Is it there or have I been listening to the order too much?

well...they also recycled "Isolation" for "Broken Promise". Listen to the bass... :D

Temptation is a regurgitated Everythings Gone Green, check out early bootlegs, I can't remember which gig but there is a live version of temptation which is a cross breed including mixed up lyrics (now theres a surprise). Thought it was Sunderland but the site history says it wasn't there. Time to dig the bootlegs out.

I still say RTS is halfway between Interzone and They Walked in Line, but I'm a pretty odd guy. CTD

Doesn't matter how many times I listen to Run - I still can't hear the similarity!

I think it's the melody bit at the beginning of Johnny's song - 'Pack my bags.....etc...' is quite similar to Run somewhere.... I'll listen to it tonight and tell you the exact part. But hang on....I don't have Johnny Denver's song...Guess I'll just have to raid my granny's tape collection.

Yep, me too Major! - I also noticed a similarity between one of the bass-synth riffs on Mr Disco that recalled almost note for note the one on SOTN....

Spotted another similarity - "Ahead" by Wire - the bassline riff is a direct steal of the main melody to Temptation. Listen to it and be amazed.....

How about the well-known controversy with Peter Hook's 'Thieves Like Us' bass with Hot Chocolate's 'Emma'....

Yep - quite right - Hooky admitted he nicked it from that song himself in a few interviews at the time.

Here's another shocker..."Weirdo" and "Way of Life" and Monaco's "Under The Stars". I can only assume Mr Hook was bored or in frivalous mood.

...and the verses to Brutal are musically identical to those of Electronic's Breakdowm. Can't believe nobody else noticed this! CTD

I just picked up "Twisted Tenderness" (the two-CD deal) over the weekend, so I'm making all sorts of discoveries.

Most obviously, there's a voice that speaks "We're like crystal/We break easy" at the beginning of "Radiation."

Plus, you can sing one of the tracks off of "Raise the Pressure" (the one with the annoying backing vocalist singing "Celebrate our love") right over top of "Twisted Tenderness."

Barney could sue himself for copyright infringement and generate some publicity.

Well, it should be one hell of a laugh when he finally decides to split up then. :D
