no luck so far in the search for a review but i did find this interesting remark from Peter Hook regarding Simon Gallup's obvious debt to Mr. Hook.

The question was something like...Do you find pride in people imitating you?

"No. No. Not really. I don't know. I don't know. I get really embarrassed by it. The only time it's ever-- It's never bothered me, anybody imitating my style, like [the bassists] in Everything But the Girl or Cocteau Twins or the Cure did. Loads of people-- Loads of people have done it. It's never actually bothered me. The only time it ever actually physically bothered me was when I went to see the Cure, and I saw that the cunt was actually fucking doing it like that [mimes his famous bass-down-by-the-ankles style]. It really bothered me because that was real imitation. Too much imitation. I don't mind them sounding like me because that's quite flattering. I think "flattery" is a much different word than "pride." I'm flattered by that. It's not something I dwell on. I wouldn't wear a T-shirt that said that. [Laughs.] You know? And I'm proud of the fact that I've worked hard and achieved something, but you have to be careful, I suppose. But that was the only time I've ever been irked by it, was when I saw [Simon Gallup] play live. Everybody always says, "You know, that guy in the Cure just ripped you off." I mean, the guy in Inspiral Carpets used to do it. Have you seen any Inspiral Carpets?"

yeah, i found that article as well but as it made no mention of NewOrder, i didn't mention it. Pretty worthless. The best chance was a BDO review page that was being updated when i tried to access it. I assume the review will be something like this...Manchester Legends take the stage shortly after...pm with frontman Bernard Sumner saying "it's great to finally be back in austrailia" to the dismay of the New Zealand Crowd. From the ashes of Joy Division blah blah blah hits like True Faith, Bizarre Love Triangle and Touched By the Hand of God emphasize why the band have been branded as a difficult live band. ....Joy Division...Atmosphere...Love Will Tear Us Apart...Everyone seemed to enjoy show closer Blue Monday except the band...

other comments may include "We enjoy playing in the rain...' and "you've been a great audience" and "this song is called True Faith...New Version"

Well, I found an article about a New Order security guard that was kicked out of a restaurant because his arms are full of tatoos. Steve Morris was there with this guy and walked out as well.

You can find the article here.
