Of the New Order fans I know there are a few that always gets the blokes vocal chords going at the end of a boozy night and others that get the chicks dancing.

seems there are more blokes on here who prefer run wild, even though i would put it in the 'chick' category.
yes, BLT gets me dancing, but so does hurt (as maya said) and ceremony. here to stay is my favourite, so of course that one as well. also TPK.
actually, there are few that you wouldn't get me singing along to.
I could never bring myself to sing World cause it sucks shit while it happens to be my brother's favourite NO song.

Many songs can be blokes or birds, a great thing about their music...

WorldInMotion is the last word in blokey songs, whilst RunWild is maybe their most 'girly' song...

As a 'bird' myself (as you call it, which I much prefer to 'shiela' although you dont get that here too much anymore) although I've never been drunk I would say that I would enjoy sing alongs like true faith, here to stay (sort of a trance song), TPK, temptation, EGG, 586 (Peel sessions version) ceratinly CEREMONY or perhaps 'Run'when it was getting late at night. I wrote that down for a suggestion to play as the last song at my formal (or prom - whatever) but the DJ didn't have it. It would have been a thousand times better than the crap they ended up playing.
Ceremony, run, BLT, LWTUA, and yes..I do the Hooky impersonation and the invisible drums act!! Just the ladette in me I suppose!

Ive seen gangs of women singing BLT (walking to Wembley Arena 87) or dancing to it ( when the DJ played it in Crocodile Rock Bar ,Toronto 2001).Although ive also witnessed a gang of girls singing along to True Faith in a Leeds nightclub in the late eighties.That was quite extraordinary!

Alright.Actually my mate i was with was urging me to go over and chat to one of them but i was finding all too extraordinary watching this gang sing along.It would have ruined the moment if one of them had "got a hold of me".Or thats what it seemed like at the tiem.bUT ITS A VERY LONG TIME AGO
most of the tracks you guys are calling "chick" tracks are among my favourites.
