How many bands played at the gigs in the States though? It wasn't 25 quid JUST for NO. 25 quid IS a lot of dosh when you are used to paying a couple or so quid on the door.

Glad they're not simply doing a Reading appearance again this year cos the only reason I attend such things IS cos of the Order. But still have to pay way over the price.
I won't even begin to tell you how much me and the Mrs spent doing North America and Germany! And we definitely weren't there to see Robbie or Moby ;)

it cost me a tenner to take my bird to watch planet of the imbeciles last week, and we got a couple of bevvys and some sugar with popcorn on it - came up to about 25 sheets, and the Order weren't even there.
i'll get you a ticket if your that strapped.
You sure it was 18 notes, Huntsman? That's for 2 tickets surely? They were 9, I'm sure, cos we had our cheques returned when the gig was over-subscribed then bought tout tickets in advance for 15 notes.
18 squid, actually, no, it was 19 bar. we were on a coach from sunny middlesbrough so that might have included the bus trip - didn't think of that, sos boss. take a tenner for a shit bus ride and your looking at another 10 for the no ticket.

Yes, back then you could see them four times + petrol money for 25 quid. That's why I'm not going to Glasgow - what a road trip that was!! The thing with GMEX was that you got to see ACR and the Mondays too. I think Finsbury was even cheaper AND didn't Railway Children play as well as ACR and Mondays?

Funny, here in Canada, when we receive a tour, they base their prices on the US market.. and since a few year, the Canadian $ is a lot lower than it used to be (it was more than the US$ 30 years ago!)
So I saw U2 for 50$ CND and all t-shirts at show these days are 50$ too...
Which is usually /2 of the uk pound.
So the same price as the New Order show.
So no, I don't find that too much, it's the price were paying these days over here!

There was a London pair with a 'Buy It' value of 1500 notes on Monday. And they've gone now!
Would be looking at £40/£50 to see them if they played a festival..and you'd have to put with the usual bland guitar angst shite while waiting for them to play. Any news on after show parties planned for the 11th at Brixton by any chance?
I'd heard that THREE dates were booked provisionally for Brixton, so am wondering if they're perhaps gonna add the 12th as an extra date, if these ticket sales go well (remember the Mondays did this a couple of years back? Had two sell-out Brixton concerts, then added an all-nighter at the end of them).

Yeah but that's U2 and Madonna - not exactly the Pistols are they? Maybe it's me but to see one of the last true remaining punk bands (cos that's what they are - they were NEVER a rock band) charging 25 quid...
Fucking hell I've never heard anything like it. Andy, pal, mate, in a years time when the fuckers have had enough you'll look back and think, mmmmm, 25 sheets to see the boys - maybe I should have bought that ticket after all, instead of blowing it on a sixpack and a bag of weed.
Putting things into perspective (again - like an old bastard) 25 quid doesn't even buy you a decent seat at most footy grounds these days. £25 buys you a crap jumper, a quarter of a tank of fuel, 25 expensive bags of crisps, 12 pringles tubes, or... fuck it the heats getting to me.

Personally, im happy to pay 25, i actually expected it to be more.... Most gigs i see cost about 25-30 squid, so this is average for todays prices..
To be totally honest, It doesnt matter how much they were going to charge, i'd be there. To be totally fucking honest, i'd sell a kidney to buy tickets....

Well said. I'm likely to blow double that on having a few drinks etc before and after the show...After giving up all hope of ever seeing them live £25 is a small price to pay.

Never heard anything like it? Geez, the whole point of punk was to kick the music biz up the arse and flick 'em the v's at every opportunity. Maybe £25 isn't a lot of money to you but when you're married with a family on the way you might, just might, understand.
As for blowing cash on beer and drugs, I don't think so.
Look, if you can remember going to see groups like the Cocteaus, Gang of Four, PiL, Cabs, Section XXV, Joke, ACR, NO etc. for a couple of quid you might feel the same.

Hey...I paid 50 bucks a seat when they came to Dallas in 93...but it was just because I wanted to be as close as possible...got third row...and my seat for Area:One was 58, but like you mentioned, it did include Moby, then throw in airfare and hotel, well...maybe I shouldn't think about. But it was worth it...in my demented little mind...

As soon as i heard that they were planning a tour (weeks back) I signed up for a egg card... and now will be able to use it to pay for my tix.....
I keep the thought of, if i end up in prison crippled with debts, at least i spent the money having fun and doing what i wanted to....
