Thanks for the serious response. I can understand asking what NO song should be played under various circumstances, but at your funeral just seems like taking the game to a place I don't really want to go.

I can understand that... But, about the "different circumstances", you'll have to admit the funreal is one very emotionally charged, hence the interest. But, agin, I understand what you mean.

Actually, i contacted Miss Cleo on the psychic hotline and she told me that they would indeed play DreamAttack in Seattle in 2002. I didn't ask her about Dallas although i think chances are good. they always stop in dallas for some reason. the seventeen minute version of Elegia remastered would be divine if Dream Attack 2002 doesn't happen.

it appears that the only reason they came to Dallas is 93 was because our local "alternative" station told them it was their 10th? birthday, even though the station was only like 4 or 5 years old at the time...so it was just a big lie...and they didn't come here in 87...but they made it to Austin...go figure...must be those fooking longhorns...

This is weird, because several years ago now I left strict instructions as to how my funeral should be arranged with my friends and family, so this really is the songs that will be at my funeral.
My mum and dad and a couple of friends have custom-burned CDRs with two songs on for playing at the end of my funeral: my favourite song 'Moon River' by Henry Mancini, which seques rather niftily into the 12" version of 'Lonesome Tonight' - mainly because of the lyrics about "you believe in youth", and "how many times before could you tell I didn't care" rounded off neatly by that "gob" on the studio floor!

actually, i might opt for Love Will Tear Us Apart - not because of the lyrics or because i want to make some dramatic statement, but simply because it's my favorite song of all-time and nothing can make me feel alive in the same way that that song can (no pun-ish joke intended). i mean, my loved ones mean more to me than LWTUA - a LOT more - but i think that's the song everyone i'm close to associates with me because i talk about it constantly.

as i don't really want a funeral (all the sycophantic fawning...they could dump me off the side of a road for all i care. after all, i'll be dead so what would i know) it would be something upbeat and danceable, like TPK. then everyone would hit the pub and have a party.
