How I wish I'd gone to the John Peel Concert.

But as I sat lifelessly watching the dross called Coronation Street, some adolescent had Transmission playing loudly from his bedroom while Planet of The Apes Gale was trying to smooch some old fart.

Englands 2-1 against Poland cheered me up further. What a performance!!!

It's funny. The other night on Corrie they had that David Platt kid listening to his walkman and his old man asked him what he was listening to. I had a hunch it might have been Joy Division!

Not up in her room with SOPHIE while her MAM fixes some TEA for KEVIN?

I've never been a big fan of Corrie (although the old lad and sister are) - Ive ALWAYS been a fan of anyone who punches KEN BARLOWE. What an absolute PILLOCK that man is.

It was the Corrie version - recorded in 1992 for Granada's 50th Birthday celebrations. How did the words go? All I can remember is "Rita's hair is ginger, she's frightened of the sun..."
