Gave Hooky one (oo, er), not Barney though. Must've got it from their roadcrew. They've got loads of 'em!

I was so chuffed with the badge Al that I started looking online for a suitable thank you present.

Not quite up to the vikings standard I know, but I bet Barney would get his camera out if he saw you wearing it!

I just wish I had the time, or the inclination, or even the plastic surgeon really. Then, I would definitely consider the options. The nearest I ever came to being a groupie was waiting outside Birmingham Odeon and asking Ali Campbell from UB40 for his autograph! I was so scared I nearly p'd my pants! Does that count?

Must say that Al deserves a f**king good round of applause from all NOOLers who attend gigs and are handed free badge pins.

Al asks nothing for them, just hands them out to the first NOOLers to attend. Next get together, I reckon Al should be forbidden from putting his hand in his pocket for beers and we should ALL buy for him (and get him a cab/ambulance home if necessary)

Absolutely top work - the Mrs has been proudly displaying her badge to everyone who'll look (probably down her top rather than at the pin, but who cares if it promotes New Order?)

Just thinking, if any twat EVER tries selling one on Ebay, they'll get an abrupt and angry knock on the door...

So cheers Al - thanks for all that you do! :thumb:

Spot on - though buying Allen a beer is fucking difficult: I tried several times before the Hyde Park gig and he aways had at least three "in the tap" waiting for him - poor fella looked practically worn out by the queue of lagers waiting for him. Though when I met Stash in Barcelona he denied all knowledge of ever having heard of Mr Jarvis. Perhaps he never got badge?

Doc - I've tried before as well, to be told, 'Cheers mate, but I've got a few lined up.'

Still, if I ever manage to get to a pub BEFORE Mr Jarvis, then I'll get them in and lined up ready...

We've yet to meet, right Chris? Though I do remember a certain Rocket Michael enthusiastically pointing out your missus in the Audley. Unbridled lust direct from Chorley.....

Cheers, Gents.

I did get a phonecall on Friday as well saying that these two gentlemen are after Vikings badges too. :thumb:

On my life! Andy Liddle does their lights, and New Order's lights, and gave me a bell.

And Al, if they DO want badges, don't they have to come out drinking with us?

Liddle's a bona fide Viking, they're his mates so I guess we could let them in by default?!

We could perhaps fast-track their application forms, make an exception in this instance cos their previous work with the Order?! ;)

Could he do the lights for BSP, and 'lose' a few bolts?

Cheers again for the badge, Al.

Wore it at Anfield on Saturday and got a few good comments.

Is there going to be a 24 carat gold, diamond encrusted one for anyone making it to Ally Pally in November ?
