"Krafty" isn't as bad as "Jetstream", but still, I think that New Order should have different songs from that album to be singles. I mean, "Krafty" and "Jetstream"? Thought Krafty and Sirens were good choices of singles - Morning Night And Day and Guilt Is A Useless Emotion would have made great singles.

Favourites on the album for me are Hey now, Guilt & Turn. Who's Joe would be just below those - along with most of the others - except Krafty, which I can't like.

For me it’s the best song in WFTSC even better then Turn which I like very much. OK maybe it’s not a typical NO song and it has resemblances with songs from some 80’s groups (someone have said that on this forum when WFTSC was released) but is a strong song with a good lyrics. Some critics said that the name was from Hendrix’s Hey Joe, but who cares with this kind of minimalist analysis. I Love Who’s Joe and it’s got all to be a great single even got a strong refrain.

Umm....the lyrics of "Who's Joe?" don't mention a computer...although the lyrics of "Hey Now What You Doing" do.

too many heys. i really haven't bothered too much with song or band names since the mid 90s when suddenly most names didn't mean much. my humble apologies.

Hmmm...interesting observation there... I still think "Who's Joe?" is one of the best songs on that album, though.

Nobody has yet been able to explain satisfactorily to me why they changed the name of the second song from "Road To Ruin" to "Hey Now What You Doing", which is a shitey Oasis name for a track!

A very good point. Is it because the name has been used as a title by another band? I get the impression NO like to have unique song titles. Road To Ruin was also the title of Supergrass new album wasnt it? (or similar?).

Not to mention the Libertines track of the same name, released a year before.

the supergrass album is called Road To Rouen

as in the place in france not ruin spelt differently!!
