So I've been trying to get a copy of this elusive (at least to me) TF Morning Sun Extended Remix. Last one I saw on Ebay went for $81 so it's out of my price range.
Here's the question: Is the Morning Sun Ext Remix the same as the Shep Pettibone Remix?
My brother sent me an MP3 of the MSER but it sounds exactly the same as the Pettibone Remix.
Anyone got a clue?

Thet are the same. On the British 12" the tracks are named True Faith (Remix) & True Faith (Dub), but on the Quest US release they are called True Faith "Morning Sun Extended Mix" and True Faith "Altenate Faith Dub".
I know this because I ended up buying both thinking they were different.

Now, is there someone out there who would be kind enough to help me out on getting "True Dub" in digital format? 
In my opinion I think this version should have been titled "Morning Sun Remix" but what do I know? (vrwc_member@yahoo.com)
Yknow I dont think they can be the same. Both versions are on the vinyl 12" of True Faith with the coloured leaves on a white background - TF Shep Pettibone remix + 1963 on one side, True Dub on the other. TF Shep Pettibone remix is 9:02 and True Dub is 10:48 approx. Its quite difficult to tell the difference to be honest, but I think True Dub is the version where Morning Sun is repeated over and over during the song, this doesnt happen as much on the Shep Pettibone remix, just the last few seconds I think... I dont know if True Dub is also known as the Morning Sun Extended Mix but that would make sense.
Also TF Shep Pettibone remix is on Rest of NO, where as True Dub is not available on cd as far as I know?
'True Faith (Remix)'/'True Faith (Morning Sun Extended Remix)' - same thing (9:02 - on 1963 CD2 and 'The Rest Of' - often referred to as the Shep Pettibone Remix).
'True Dub'/'True Faith (Alternate Faith Dub)' - both the same (10:48 - only ever on the remix 12"s)
If you're going to hunt down 'True Dub', get the Austrailian 12", as it features the excellent 'Paradise (Remix)' - that can also be heard on 'Retro' - instead of '1963'.
There is also 'True Faith (Remix Edit)' a horribly-edited version of the Shep remix that can be found on the 'True Faith' CD-Video (the audio section of which will play fine on any CD player), and a six minute version of the same remix on the soundtrack to 'Bright Lights, Big City' - never heard this myself, but I'm told it's the regular remix with an early fade.
I have a digital copy of 'True Dub', recorded into my PC using a Technics turntable. Pretty good sound quality. Got it in WAV and mp3.

It's done by Robert Rancic (sp?) an Australian DJ.
There is also a mash up of the Morning Sun Mix/Perfecto mix on the Out Of Order bootleg. Now if we`re running a poll for worst remix...

Yeah, the "Direct Hit Remix"... a bootleg job if ever there was one!
I've also noticed that 3 track US promo CD is becoming a bit more expensive lately... can't say I'm unhappy about that as I own a copy! :D The only unique track is the Album Edit which is a straight hack job of the original Substance version. It would be an alright version if it didn't sound badly done in a few places, occasionally the drums miss a beat on the sections where they made the chop.

I've never heard the version on "Bright Lights, Big City" but I asked Spotnick about this a few years ago and I'm pretty sure he said it was just the same as the Remix 7" (aka Morning Sun Edit) from the CDV... can you clarify Spotto? Is it really 6 minutes with a fade?
If so it's a new edit to hunt down 
The 'Album Edit' is by no means unique to the US Promo CD - it was the UK seven inch mix!

Was it? I don't own the UK 7" (or indeed most of the 7"es cos I don't really bother with the vinyl) so didn't know... however I was told a while ago the definitive TF 7" was the Shep Pettibone Edit so that's my (and their!) mistake then. Thinking back, I also went on track times from the New Order Discography @ niagara.edu:
7": UK 1987 (Factory FAC 183-7) 4:02 True Faith 5:32 1963CD5: US 1987 (Qwest PRO-CD-2899) [promo] 4:04 True Faith (the morning sun remix/edit) 4:10 True Faith (album edit) 8:59 True Faith (the morning sun extended remix)
As can be seen the track times for the Morning Sun Edit and the 7" A-side are obviously quite similar so I assumed they were the same track. The Album Edit does seem to be 8 seconds longer than the 7" so I guess the Discog is (slightly) wrong.
I'll have to take the Pettibone Edit out of my "definitive" Singles and replace it with the Album Edit, cheers for the correction tho.
There are more and more small errors appearing over time in the Ivarsson discography, many to do with tracklistings and timings. I'm not sure when he's going to update next but he's got a largish job ahead of him. I've tried to keep track of as many amendments as I can to assist him but there's also a backlog of new material to post.

Something I meant to ask you Andy, which tracks on Singles have their channels reversed? All of them or just some of them? From what I can gather Ceremony and most of disc 1 suffers from that problem doesn't it? Ta.
