Just noticed the following note on an old news talking about the Brixton gig.
Obviously, they didn't name the song right (old typo), but they must know something.

Ahead of the release of single number four from 'Waiting For The Siren's Call', 'Turn New Drum', New Order have announced a surprise London date.
We'll probably be lucky to get a "digital download release" at this point.
It' a shame how they've treated the WFTSC and GIAUE singles.

Especially since (IMHO) GIAUE is a QUINTESSENTIAL New Order track. It's fucking great and should have been the first single (well at least ahead of fucking jetstream)
Well, it'll probably be a limited edition wax cylinder and sheet music edition available by mail order only inside a laminate sheet.
The release schedule around this album has been appalling. It's almost as if they don't want to sell music to us anymore.
Two CD's per single, and the tracklist was always CD1 : radio edit/album mix CD 2: five crappy remixes
At best they could've varied the tracks up (for example, I suspect we'd bought more copies of Krafty if CD1 had the Mac Quayle Mix of "GIAUE", or Jetstream, if CD1 had had the Japanese edition of "Krafty" on).
As we all know, the WFTSC single was a botch as well. Maybe if NO wanted to sell records/CD's, they might actually consider releasing quality product on the dominant format (CD). The WFTSC single might've gone higher than 21, IF it hadn't been released on a format maybe 1% of the population buys or plays (vinyl), and they'd released CD's with ALL the new mixes on. You could've spread the 6 tracks across 2 CD's, and only lose out the LP mix everyone had anyway. For example -
CD1: WFTSC Costey mix, BLT mix, CD2. WFSC Jacknife Mix, Tempt mix, EGG mix.
But sell it as a ACTUAL CD and I'd be first to cough up for it. They're shooting themselves in the foot.

The WFTSC release was fine but the CD should have contained all the promo CD tracks (fuck am I paying £80 for them on Ebay).
Guilt will chart in the USA if it sells enough. It doesn't need a 'physical' release to chart on the Billboard chart.
Do NO really care if they chart at all?

I agree with you that GIAUE should have been a single before "Jetstream". "GIAUE" may not be the best track NO's ever created, but still, I like that song much better than "Jetstream".
This seems to be the latest thing, putting out tracks or video on download only. Hey if James Blunt can do it ... 
Don't know if it'll work for NO though. Will their fanbase go for it? Still glad to see GIAUE get a release (or Turn, best on the album imo), just I need a checklist to keep all the releases sorted. CONFUSION!

This was the working title for 'TURN' before the album was released.
Slippy: NO may not care if they chart or not, but WARNERS DO! - they will only continue to release money-making band's music, which should worry us, IMO.
They won't but they could do a double A-sided UK single! Morrissey did one with Redondo Beach/There Is A Light That Never Goes Out from his Live At Earls Court album proving it can still be done. That would be a genius move because you'd have two very different New Order songs in the same release that would please both sections of the fanbase: guitar fans and danceheads

DVD: Turn video/Guilt video DVD audio of some of the mixes Live footage
Will we see any Turn remixes? Hmmm tough one as it's basically a fairly traditional guitar track. Having said that Planet Funk managed to remix WFTSC into a pretty decent sounding House version so perhaps get them back in? We know new songs will not be appearing so perhaps a properly mixed live track or two from the recent gigs? I vote for Everything's Gone Green and Turn (staying with the A-side relevance).
Of course the above makes perfect sense for a memorable New Order release but London will never do it 
Well, I thought i'd never see a remix of 60MAH and we did see one ;)
But they did include SLY mixes on it... I'd do that for Turn in the UK...

To be honest, I'd rather they just forgot about bringing it out altogether. It's well past the time now surely? All you fervent chart watchers will only be pissed off when it barely scrapes into the 40 or even 50 and that will then spoil the impeccable record of WFTSC's single offspring which have ALL charted virtually top 21 or thereabouts.
To have another single then stiffing at a lowly position would then ruin it all wouldn't you agree? ;)

Remixes are done to give another feel to a song, and sometimes they are bad, but sometimes they enhance the song.
Although I'm missing extended version remixes.. those were cool! longer versions of the original!
Remixes can be pretty damn good. Anything that gets more NO product out there to hurt my wallet isn't bad in my book.

A double A hardcopy release of Guilt / Turn; two remixes of both, would be most welcome... and could be commercially successful...
Although with Chrimbo coming up we're not likely to see 'owt!
Last reply I got from Warner concerning Turn was a "I don't know"...

You're going to have to use scientific notation to see where Turn would chart in Yankland.
On the subject of GIAUE, I think if they had used the Max Quayle mix as the standard version, then made it the debut single, the "Disappointing debut compared to Crystal..." cry would have never come to pass.
