don't watch the Simpsons much anymore, but last night on Sky One at 6.30pm was a classic futurama/simpsons episode. they played Bizarre Love Triangle at the school dance or prom or whatever they call it and True by Spandau Ballet. Dead funny coz the characters were set into the future. Millhouse had huge arms and appeared to be on Steroids. Classic.

defo a cover, and very faint in the background. still good though. Spandau was original i think and much louder. good episode. A billboard on the motorway said: "Give Apes the Vote - You wont regret it!!"
Brilliant!!

I agree it was a pretty good episode, a rarity with The Simpsons because it's generally a spent force these days. They seem to have run out of ideas so much they've gone full circle and are coming out with some new ideas! (as if that makes any sense)
The Bender cameo was a nice touch.
As for BLT, just checked the ep and it's not a cover version, definitely the NO original. Can't mistake that snare hit and synth line :)
yep give ali a cigar,it is indeed the original,as where all the other tracks in the episode. DOHHH:D
Ah, I see I'm definitely not the only one who noticed that. Immediately when I heard that I jumped out of my bed and cranked it up. One of my favorite songs by my favorite band being played on one of my favorite episodes of that season on my favorite show. It was amazing.
Drudge Radio show is on again tonight and he has been using "Confusion" a lot...funny hearing Barney yammering away in the background on a U.S. national radio call-in show...
Remember visiting eastern Montana relatives in the late 80's and was watching community cable television and they used a lot of NO songs with vocals to give a sound track to community television like watching coal trains go by....

NO influence has always been under the carpet here in USA but squeaks out once in awhile..
