Some time, in 2006, New Order will release a single.

It'll become an instant anthem, with constant radio play etc, classic New Order.

Then, the new album will be announced. This album will be given a name, tracklist, release date etc.

BUT, when the album is released, it will not be a New Order album. it will be a JOY DIVISION album! It will be a 5-stars-all-round masterpiece of gothic rock, and amaze the whole music world. New Order will win the Mercury Prize, recieve worldwide acclaim, have 4 top-10 singles and a world tour.

:D That's my supreme, ultimate dream for the future...they screw up all NO stuff, but when they played JD at peel Day they were fucking amazing.

YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!

Christ, how thick can you get...

I meant it's a joke in the sense that I'm not seriously believing it'll happen, fool. You think I was trying to fool anyone...?!

Interesting thought however, they would have gone full circle then.

Instead of competing with bands like the NO-inspired The Killers they would be competing against JD-inspired Interpol, it just goes to show how influential NO has been.
