Blue Monday used in two seperate television commercials, 20 years apart. Discuss.

Whenever I hear the beginning of the ad. for the new Sony MP3 walkman player thing, I think it is sounds like New Order.

There is... which is more evil, the one that actually aired? Which are they more to blame for? the factory one or the London one?

lots to discuss, just not whether or not whoever thoguht it was a good idea to reduce NO to the level of crazy-frog should have their face ground skinless on a grinding wheel, splashed in lemon juice, salt and chillie, then deep fried.

Hmm. I don't much care about songs being used on an advert, because it is so cheesy to begin with (adverts using popular songs to sell more product), but as opposed to all the other bad music forced onto me via the commercial market, I'd rather hear BM in either form than most of what's out there now.

But if the companies are convinced I'll buy more product because New Order's singing a song over their commercial, they are sorely mistaken. :P

The band has NOTHING to prove to anyone, at this point. NOTHING.

Use of the song surely made the boys a nice sum of cash, and I'm glad of it.....they deserve it, after having had to perform that damn song over and over for over twenty freakin years.
