Interesting things you may not be interested in

I have posted a few messages about NewOrder songs and the hidden parts that no-one notices. Well, someone mentioned the "Ive lost you, Ive lost you" bit in Age Of Consent (Things that make you go "OOF") and I remember noticing years ago, that there is a bit in that song where the snare is replaced by a sequencer, at least it sounds that way. Near the end, where the drum rolls are, after the words are finished ("Oooooh, oooooh, ooooh"). Ive always just accepted it as part of the song, but if you havent noticed, its quite interesting, especially when it gets changed back at the end. Just thought Id mention that. I`m bored...

It is imperative that you post all such observations for my benefit...I love stuff like this, like when you can hear the bleed from the vocalist's headphones into the mic.

I never noticed that part before. My guess is that little synth snare is running throughout but hidden under the real snare. At the end, Mr. Morris heads to the toms for some diddling and the synth snare emerges; when the keys come back in, he heads back to the live snare, which masks the syndrums (via a psychoacoustic phenomenon known as envelope masking).

Anyone bored by the original post has got to be comatose by now. But keep it comin', keep it comin'...

Well, you may not realise this, but there are actually FOURTEEN SEPARATE DRUM SOUNDS discernible on The Perfect Kiss 12" single alone. Suck on that!

actually my friend ned can lick his own elbow as he's double jointed. it's very bizarre.
