Artists/songs that sample NO

Sorry if this has ever been discussed before, but I haven't been here all that long.

I was wondering how extensively NO has been sampled by other artists. There's the Jetstream bass in the Depeche Mode remix, and Matt Green's remix of Christian Death's "Panic in Detriot" contains the drums from True Faith. What else is out there?

808 State sampled shes lost control on one of their albums,think the song was contrique of the gorgeous album.

WFTSC (Tribute Mix)

there's a house/techno track with the strings from YSF on it...but it's not a sample, unless NO gave them the master multitrack tapes, cos there's no bass/drums/the lot underneath it.

I sampled the vocoder-ish intro to Spooky and truncated it to say "smokin" :D

I'm actually ashamed for having a Cause & Effect album and for knowing these facts. For those who don't know, they were a Depeche Mode rip-off band. So, you can imagine how bad they were.

I know them well. YTYKH was pretty addictive for a club hit... even if they rippity ripped samples all over the place. I think some of the better stuff was the "It's Over Now" single, but just barely, mind. ;)

Don't feel too bad, Cetu Javu's "Have in Mind" frequently makes me shiver in shame - yet I still dig their 12" out of dollar bins.

We might need a contest for "Most Humiliating Record in Collection", soon.

Does that Public Domain track count? Or was it a sample of the remix, which doesn't actually have any neworder bits in it? (I don't know it very well)

New Order are extensively sampled in the world of electronica - two tunes that spring to mind are Catalan FC's "Respect is Burning" from the "Respect is Burning, Paris is Sleeping, Vol 1" compilation which heavily samples "Thieves Like Us". More recently Mr Learn, another Frenchman, samples the TLU on a sample based interlude on 2004's "Super Discount 2" compilation. French producers seem to have a thing for this song

Didn't Steve say that the drum intro to love vigilantes was the most sampled drum sound ever once?

I've got a number of dance tracks that have New Order samples in them...

Can't remember most of them off hand though...

Electroset - How Does It Feel? is one of them though.

Also the Bloodhound Gang seem to have a distinctive New Order-ish sound, particularly on the Bad Touch, which is blatantly similar to the Grim Up North Remix of True Faith, with a reverb Hooky bassline on it.
