What do you think the best new order song is for listening to when you wake up in the morning. i just got a new cd alarm clock and want to start out my dismal day of drudgery at school on an optomistic note.
Don Henley

no, he was the lead singer of the eagles. Im trying to do new orderish names for topics from now on. ie they have nothing to do with anything?
and he did write that song. I just thing Don Henley is a great name. say it slowly out loud and see how it rolls of your toungue. H-E-N-L-E-Y

good idea in theory...but it leads to a bit a confusion to those who respond to your thread. hell, we might not even respond to it at all (don henley? yuck, when i think of him, i think of one of those smokey truck stop bars where people drink, play pool and the people wear too much fannel. very american and ugly)
yes...I wandered in here to see just what the hell Don Henley had to do with anything...I was pleasantly surprised to see that nobody was singing his praises...
especially since the bastard is crying about how unfairly artists are treated by their record labels...hey Don, when you get shafted like the Order does...then, you may begin whining...until then, shut the hell up!!!!
Oh...and to get back to the question...get yourself a version of the happy ones off the net...burn it to a disc, and start your day off that way!!!!

Hey- this is just too much of a coincidence!
I just got myself a genuine Eagles haircut. Or was that the Steve Miller special? Anyway, I'll see if I can't update my profile!
:\pimp2:
I clicked on here fully expecting an obituary or something, kind of like "well, he's dead" or something. One can hope.....:p
As for any JD/NO to start your day, might I suggest Blue Monday? I find it's always fun to blast that at 7 in the morning......

That´s a fab idea, Lux. I must admit I am very much relieved cos´I was half dreading to hear that Don Henley was going to be joining the Order for the Summer festivals instead of the Bald One.
Oops, I forgot, why don´t you give Fine Time a try, the loopy beginnings always get me in a good mood.
Alternatively you may want to get yourself a new job with less dismal drudgery involved
Auntie May.
to wake up depressed why not try the song "The Eternal" If you work in a cube all day for a large corperation, why not try "Isolation" How about "True Faith"
To get me motivated, I would listen to "Age of Consent"
Boys of Summer is one of those typically cliched 80s songs which feature that cheesy horrid-sounding drum machine (also used on "Beverly Hills Cop Theme" by whatsisface and loads of other tacky soundtracky things from the same period....) and those awful synth sounds...yeechhh...makes me think of loads of baywatch beauties surrounded by horrid be-mulleted lustful packanimals with Michael Bolton jawlines....![]()
Ugh! Stop this horrid business at once! :\puke:

Oh yeah - almost forgot - didn't this bastard buy that groovy blue Techno-blasting Tank off Super Furry Animals a few years back? If memory serves me correct.....He collects them doesn't he? Fuck - he has something in common with Stephen Morris - eek! ![]()

That's not you! There's no leaf on the t-shirt! ;)
actually im in college, i need motivation to get to those early shakespeare and political science classes.
The intro to Ceremony would do the trick for me.
As for Don Henley, where is Mojo Nixon right about now? "Don Henley Must Die" indeed.

I'm sorry to tell you this...but there is nothing in this world that can motivate one for Poli Sci classes...I minored in P.S., and all I can suggest is to pray for classes that start after 10!!!!

I do have more than one t-shirt you know. The one in my picture is actually a Jethro Tull singlet and I also own a Wang Chung skinny fit.
Olde Bleu is that a Brighton shirt you're promoting.. How can you expect to be taken seriously? And how could a seasoned old hand such as yourself claim EGG 12" is your favourite piece of NewOrder art? It's the only non-Saville cover there is! Good grief old fellow, it was slapped together by Steve Morris in half an hour on a clunky old Mac.
;)

i got a cd alarm clock for my birthday once, so i wake up to shes lost control every morning. also good for waking up: white light white heat by vu, or nwo by ministry
hmm, i want one of those alarm clocks from abre los ojos/namilla skies.
& I want cameron diaz saying "open your eyes david" on it like in the film.

We know a pop video like that, don't we kids?

THREE shirts....impressive!! :)
'tis indeed an Albion shirt. Having supported them through thin and thin over the last 15 years, I make no excuses for it being there now that we're finally having some success. Third division champions last season and currently second in Div 2. Oh the irony of running around with "SKINT" on your chest.
EGG is nice, no? In a sort of beige and red squares type of way.

Sounds like a pullover you might sport down Portsmouth way these chilly days, Olde Bleu? On the links perhaps, or maybe while pruning in the greenhouse?
