I have Commodore A1200 (rev. 2B) in Power Tower. Apollo 1240 28mhz/16mb, PortJNR, Zorro IV backplane, Squirrel SCSI, and a Picasso IV. It goes like the fucking wind.

Do you know how i can fool my 1200 into thinking it has more chip RAM. I have 8MB of fast RAM, but i need more chip RAM to get above map size 5 on settlers!
Come on Facsy hurry up, I'm only making one run to the post office. Limited time only Free! CDR's.

Either
a) Use a lesser screenmode (less colours, hi-res)
b) Get a Zorro or PCI bus and use a graphics card
c) Download from AmiNet some software that patches system functions to work in FastRAM. HappyENV stops the amiga from copying the ENV: directory to ram on startup, this can save your chip ram. If you want me to mail you some programs, then let me know in this thread. A KickStart Remapper is also what you`ll need. This puts the Kickstart image in FastRam, making it quicker, and uses less resources.
There are only a few people who truely know a good computer when they see one. I expect you`re one of them! Amiga4ever

Yeah man! Amiga rules!!
I did have a 600, but after 10 years of loyal service it broke, so i bought a 1200 and stuck an accelerator in. Send anything you think may be useful to steve_turner_uk@hotmail.com.
One thing though... how do i get stuff from my pc to my amiga?

You'd be better off showing them how to get through a firewall Shimmo, don't you think? ![]()

Format a floppy on your pc in low density mode (720k) then boot up your amiga and mount PC0: then when you insert a pc format disk, you will see two icons on your workbench DF0:???? and another icon with your floppy disk which can be accessed as normal. To mount pc0: doubleclick on Storage:Devs/DosDrivers/PC0 To have it started each time you start your amiga, drag and drop the icon in the Workbench:Devs/DosDrivers drawer. Alternatively download TwinExpress from aminet and transfer the files via serial cable. If you need any more help i would be glad to help.
All the stuff you will ever need for your amiga can be downloaded free at aminet, the worlds largest software colection (or at least it was at one time). Ill e-mail some stuff to you tomorrow.
I think some e-mailing is required :) ...

Thanks for your help so far!
Fac my friend...

If i remember correctly, this is what you can do.
Load up workbench as normal. Insert disk four, I think it's got an installer icon which you just need to double-click to install. I discovered one day that Amiga games sometimes have an installer script on the third or fourth disks, not where you would normally find it. In my opinion, you would be better to download the F1GP editor, as this lets you change ALL aspects of the game. Acually, I INSIST that you use it, you wont believe the difference. I'll dig it up and mail it to you asap, along with thoseother programs I told you about.
You'll get more info Here
PS Did you get the PC0: drive working on you Amiga?
