Heard a version of Temptation today by Moby from the 'Hotel' album; different I'll grant you that. But I quite liked it. Anyone else heard it?

Yeah, it's not a bad album Hotel...
Don't think the cover was too popular around here because of the different style and one or two inaccuracies in the lyrics I.e. she sings "and it hurts me to see you this way" when Barney sung "and it hurts me to treat you this way".
I don't mind it personally, it's a fairly harmless coffee table version... something to put on the CD player when you've got people around for dinner! 
You can't really doubt Moby's sincerity as a fan either.

Slow version with the girl vocals? Yeah its ok,he did a more faithful version too-think it was a b.side to one of the "Hotel" singles.
I've heard it before, but I didn't like it at all. Actually, the only cover of New Order that I liked was Natalie Browne's cover of "True Faith". But then, no cover can actually be better than New Order themselves.
i heard it a while back on the radio. let me put it this way it did not make me rush out and buy the album.
I like it. Makes the song work with just a slow beat and guitar/piano, in this way kind of showing how good the melody of the original song is, in that it doesn't even need to be dancey in order to be enjoyed. And at least it's something different... it wouldn't have made much sense to cover it in a 100% faithful way. His cover of New Dawn Fades is good too... if you can get used to the singing! XD
I like Moby. I've liked him since buying the 12" of Go when it came out. I think he is overplayed which is why people dislike him but thats down to the media, not Moby. He is pretty cool. His version of New Dawn Fades is excellent and is only let down live by his vocals.

I don't think I've ever heard a JD/NO cover in my life that didnt bug the hell out of me. Actually, no that's not true - the 'Means to an End' covers album was really good, I wish I still had it. But Orgy? Frente? Their only claim to fame was covering a good song they never wrote.
I used to love Moby, up until Animal Rights which I thought was just ok. Then, I Like to Score came out and I gave up on him. I didn't even bother listening to Play. 
Has anyone heard 'Ice Skating Girl' by Rekindle? The lyrics are original but the music is a cheeky, direct rip-off of Temptation. I actually really like it. Reminds me of that song 'Steal My Sunshine'.
