They had some nice tunes but struck me as being more influenced by Echo & the Bunnymen than the shoegazers. Their keyboard player (Steve Lau) also started a record label called Kinetic. When the band I was in played a show with The Judybats and Riverside (whom Lau had produced), we were told to send in a demo. We never heard back.

i can see how songs like cerulean and between something and nothing are bunnymen-influenced; but others, like ballerina out of control, remind me more of ride.

the judybats--another good band. whatever happened to them?
