Um, sorry to be a wet blanketr here, but the answer is no to both - Barn sings IALP and Hooky sings Doubts even here. I think.

hooky sings dreams never end and the low part of the him (duet with barney). i'm almost completely sure that steve sings lonely place, i've seen this in jd fact files, and it makes sense, because he sang on most of the earliest demos apparently. i'm sure barney sang it live, though, when he became the official lead singer. barney had a deeper voice back then, but he had an involuntary vibrato that almost always came out, and a broader accent. i'm also almost completely sure that doubts is steve, not hooky, as well. hooky has a very raspy voice, and the singing on doubts is too "sweet" to be hook i think. maybe i am wrong, but i was always very curious as to who sang what on movement, and any contrary information is very much welcome.
Sorry False Head, but seems you have some false info as well. Hooky sings Doubts Even Here - both on record and on the three live performances they did of it in 1981 (there were no Gillian backing vocals live). Barney sings IALP on the record.
Thanks for the back-up, ZZ.
Falsey - i think the only time Steve's gone on record as singing is on the Western Works Demos of 1980, where he sings Ceremony, Truth and an otherwise unused track called Homage (which is poor to be honest). There may have been a few other tracks on this demo as well (can't remember), but you can tell Steve has a higher register and sounds completely different to Barn and Hooky.

THE TIMES I HAVE SEEN THE ORDER PERFORM DREAMS NEVER END...HOOKIE HAS ALWAYS SUNG IT...DO WE KNOW WHY????ITS A FANTASTIC LIVE TRACK
You're right about the lazy and we could get two small sets then. It wold be nice to play rare things like:
Let's go (Original Lyrics) Brutal (Radio One version)
and not too performed songs like:
All The Way Love Less Sooner Than You Think Bizarre Love Triangle (Wiht Guitars and Screams from the BBC Live) Dream Atack
But any Thechinique stuff and the rest of the list is just a dream isn't it?

Seriously - if they played some JD songs they haven't played before (or fer a while) like Digital, SLC, New Dawn Fades, Disorder, The Eternal, 24hrs.....I'd fookin love it
To see them doing 2 sets would be a bonus - but knowing how lazy the Bastards are.......you'd get the usual JD numbers, and the usual NO numbers! So basically it'd be the same sets they've already been playing
Give us AOC, Sunrise, AIIWIW, VP..............PLEASE YOU BASTARDS;)
On the Western Works demo, it's actually Barney who sings Homage(which I think had promise if they had developed it - would have fit nicely beside Cries & Whispers & Mesh), Steve on Truth & Ceremony & Hooky on DNE.
