I'm about half-way through, cannae recommend it highly enough.

I think I have (almost) all the Joy Division / New Order books in my collection and this is right up with the best.

It's great hearing new recollections from Ian's family and schoolmates and loads of fascinating stuff from Terry Mason, Alan Wise, Vini Reilly and even TJ Davidson who rented the band their rehearsal space that's seen in the LWTUA video. It certainly sheds a different light on Ian compared with the Deborah Curtis book, but don't get me wrong, that book is definitely worth a read as well.

I already knew of Mick Middles - because of his "From Joy Division to New Order" which is probably my favourite other related book. Him and Lindsey Reade have done a cracking job on this. Looking forward to the rest of the book.

While I'm at it - has anyone got any bootlegs from '77 or '78 yet? This book has whetted my appetite for more Joy Division. I must have about 40 odd gigs (of varying degree's of sound quality!) But I am desperate to hear more ;)

EDIT: While I'm at it, anyone got a cracking version of "At A Later Date" from The Electric Circus? I have a 128kbps copy - but it doesnae sound too healthy.

As I say - the book is fucking great and it even made me pull ma finger out and put all the Joy Division gigs I have onto the computer. I have to thank several of you's on here including The Rocket, PHD, Jan from Belgium and several others for being so helpful over the last 5 or 6 years.

I have all the official releases, plus the RCA Warsaw Demo and Remains on CD. I also have the "Here Are The Young Men" 88 radio doc, the complete Genetic & Piccadilly Sessions and several near indecipherable interviews from things such as Radio Blackburn etc...

What am I missing gig wise that are currently out there and who can help me out?
