It was a great game what I saw - and the 'Pool went right up in my estimations. What da fuck was Houllier doing bringing off Hamann though? And why doesnt Litmanen start?

Well I thought it was one of our worst performances of the season, so I've no idea why you were impressed Briggsy, The back four were pulled out of shape to much Dudek was uncharacteristically(phew! that's a lot of letters for one word) shakey. Gerrard and Hamann virtually absent first half. Then we got a goal from the first bit of invention we showed (Owen's run at the defence and resulting corner) I shook my head when I saw the Hamann switch, and said "looks like we've been reading the 'boring Liverpool' hype and gone gung ho." Houllier apparantly said he wanted more penetration down the right, begs the question why? when we had nosed ahead at the time and just neede to hold out. Also a straight swap for Murphy would have been a better bet. As for Jari, I'd like to see more of him but he seems better from off the bench, when the game has slowed down a bit, wether he'd be fitter if he played regularly from the start is another question...

I wasn't especially impressed with the performance, rather the entertainment factor. Mind you if Micky O had been on anything like his usual form you'd be heading for a Semi with ManU by now.

The thing is, if Liverpool had adopted 'Boring Liveropol' tactics they would have probably coasted through.
