Go out and get the Gothic Box Set mentioned on the site! It is a great collection of all of the fav's of the late 70's - 80's. Thank you for posting this up to date information on NOOL!

You get 3 audio CD's, 1 dvd, and a great 60 page book that details Goth style from history to proper dance steps! Very cool packaging too - comes in a black laced jacket.

Dude, it's not cool to ACT excited about it:nono:

just say "what-ever... at least its not as bad as some conformist mainstream shit", then listen to it over and over and over exclusively. drop band names into conversation whenever possible.

Has anyone told a stiffy joke yet?

Interesting comments...I actually have all of the albums these songs are from...the set is a cool collectors item - even if some of the bands did go a little wayward. I also saw about 50 % of them in concert! Goth and NO / JD do mix well!

LOL

It's funny that a lot of people despise the Goths but nevertheless are ardent fans of Joy Division the band that falls into the Gothic band category. I guess their crime is that they didn't wear make-up and wigs (thank God they didn't).

Great insight - Goth, Industrial, Indie Punk - it was all part of the late 70's through the mid 90's "alternative music scene". One thing is Crystal to me though - New Order and JD are cross-generational and right from the start have kept their identity (and their top place with me) and produced the very best music and lyrics - period.

Go buy a cup of coffee at Borders, they give you a 20% off coupon (most of the time) and then buy it in the store! You get about $ 13.00 US off ($ 52.00 total)

I totally agree, JD was never Goth - curious how they ended up on the CD set...there are several other acts that I never considered to be "Goth"! If you look at my profile (even in 1988) I was not a Goth either - just liked the Goth girls! 8-)
