It's just a thought,some good tracks and some half-baked tracks,Martin Hannett[RIP] should have let Nile Rogers and Kraftwerk on the case.Maybe they could let a different artist re-mix an individual track [like 'Salt Peter-Re-mixed' by Ruby] it would totally transform and freshen an otherwise badly produced and under strength LP. P.S maybe they could re-mix it themselves and re-package it and re-issue it.....

Like the idea, but would they sell lots more ? I fear that the need to shift units is now a bigger priority, despite their continued truculence.

August 2002 Releases: Movement, by New Order. This 24-bit digitally remastered U.S. edition features an 18-minute trance remix of "Blue Monday 2002" smack dab in the middle of the revised track listing, plus the never-before-available-on-CD "Rockin' Carol."

Movement is an excellent album and needs no remixing, that would ruin it! It was, and is, a natural successor to Closer and to me still sounds amazing. Listen to it late at night in the dark and be blown away by the stark beauty of the rythms and the shifting stereo imagery.
My buddy gave me as a Christmas gift "Good Vibrations: A History of Record Production" by Mark Cunningham.

Something like Senses or Chosen Time would make good tracks to remix as long as they were handled with care by people who were innovative rather than turning them into bangin' house tunes.

I agree with most people here. I don't see the point in going back and changing old songs because they are what they are and in my opinion should be left alone. Should be concentrating on releasing brand new stuff ...
ive always thought a remix was a cheap way to make a dollar now new order have on several occasions re recorded songs with horrible affect ie temptation and im yet to hear a remix by anyone that is better than the original i mean radio edits ??? waste of space really to touch anything off movement would be horrible it would be like remixing unknown pleasures if you want to hear bad versions of no/jd listen to transmission on the warsaw bootleg the end
