obviously Barney got a bit confused as subsequent remix was changed to the more logical "a room without a view".
I'm pretty sure there are other lines where they don't make sense. Ceremony's verse is a bit weird (the 'wheels' line, I believe-Barney was the one who augmented what he thought Ian was singing, right?) in its syntax...the second verse in AOC...I could go on. But I think Barney's a bit enigmatic in his lyrics when he's feeling imaginative or playful, so maybe certain perplexing word choices were more deliberate than we might think otherwise.
